Nailbiter #15

The hunt is on for the newest butcher of Buckaroo

NAILBITER started as a mystery, became a horror book, then swung around back to mystery, with a giant dash of secrets which feel like they'll lead to betrayal. Alice has been hurt and Warren, Finch, and Carroll are chasing after and sometimes hiding from the newest butcher of Buckaroo underneath the serial killer cemetery.

This issue is incredibly gruesome and filled with body parts left and right as secrets are revealed and the butcher's kill-room, which is incredibly disturbing. The thing is that you can't talk too much about the events of the issue without spoiling one of the many big reveals here. This issue doesn't reveal every secret about the series, but there are a few revelations and big moments, which hook the reader in.

Writer Joshua Williamson really does pace this issue out spectacularly well between the moments of conversation and the giant action sequences contained within. As always, Mike Henderson and Adam Guzowski provide some killer art, pun intended. Henderson really captures each moment perfectly and Guzowski's colors make the book feel as dark as the events within the story.

This was a pretty huge issue and there was a lot going on in revealed in here. The book continues to be jaw-dropping, month after month. The biggest disappointment comes from the fact the book is on a break until October. It's only one month, but that's one month away where we won't know about how everything that ends here will play out.
