The Amazing Spider-Man #676 - The Sinister Six in 'Tomorrow the World!'

4

The Sinister Six takes on the Intelligencia.

The Sinister Six has a plan to take down the Intelligencia, but the Intelligencia has a new weapon called the Zero Cannon which could put an end to the Sinister Six.

The Good

This, as with all of Dan Slott's run on AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, book is a ton of fun. While the issue lacks the title character, you won't miss him as the Sinister Six becomes the focus of this issue, and you'll be sucked in from page one. This issue has a ton of fun and exciting action as two teams of super-villains try and prove who's the best. Lots of witty and comical banter in this issue, which you can usually expect when Dan Slott is writing.

I loved the Zero Cannon. It's not some over complicated piece of technology. It simply just shoots you into space. It's nice to have a book that doesn't take itself way too seriously, and it's simply fun.

I say the same thing every time I review an AMAZING SPIDER-MAN book with Humberto Ramos on it. I love Ramos' art. He has a great style, and it style that perfectly compliments Slott's writing. I couldn't imagine a better creative team to be on this book.

The Bad

The only real downside I see to this is that Spider-Man is not in this issue. This book really just focuses on the battle between these two super villain teams.

There's a few possible deaths of some C-List characters in this issue. I say possible because well, it's comics and you never know, but these guys seem pretty dead.

The Verdict

Slott and Ramos do it again. Another incredibly fun issue. You'll be glued to the page from the get-go, and one element I loved was the Zero Cannon, which just shoots you into space. As always, I loved Ramos' art on this issue, but I was a tad disappointed that there was no Spider-Man in this issue and a few C-List characters met their doom. Overall, this was an excellent read and I highly recommend it, even if it's your first time reading AMAZING SPIDER-MAN in quite some time.
