    Repulsors

Repulsor beams are the type of arsenal that uses particle beam technology to repel the opponent away as well as leaving burns, mortal wounds, and even gaping holes.  All models of Iron man's suits have had repulsors integrated within the palms. These are the primary offensive weapons in any of the Iron Man armors. These powerful weapons of concussive force or constructed by the use of micro-circuitry.Repulsors are mentally controlled by electronic nerve functions located in Iron Man's helmet. Iron Man's helmet has a HUD and a AI response server, he uses the HUD to look at the options pertaining to the functions of suit he then sends a "thought" to the AI Response Server that acts on his demands as well as on his suit. Of course those attributes or associated to the earlier versions of his suits. Now newer suits such as the Prometheum A.K.A. Tin Man (Mark XXIV) suit and the Extremis armor (Preferably the Extremis armor) have a direct cybernetic interface system that acts upon Tony's brain by the use of the cybernetic connections of Stark's armor. Overall these air highly offensive artillery are used by many armored suit wearers in Marveldome.

    Science of Repulsors

The science of a repulsor beam really isn't much that convoluted. The repulsor beam isn't much of a beam as it isn't a laser, a repulsor is really compressed and charged neutron particles that are all in which based on Stark's magnetic principals. The repulsor as said before is neutron based, which doesn't make much sense considering neutron particles do not travel far in the atomosphere, a small laser seen in the deeper part of the repulsor lens, fires compressed and ionized air that assits the neutrons in traveling in the repulsor ray, which travel at a rate of 500 milliseconds per blasts. Occasionally the repulsor may not use neutrons but charged plasma, although not as effective they can produce as much damage if not more than a conventional repulsor.

Functions  Besides all of which was said, Stark's repulsors have other uses as well. Stark's repulsors stabilize his flight as well as help him accelerate considering they help him "steer" throughout flight. In order for him to "steer" he puts his hands beside him (downward) and raises his palms. To stop he just puts his hands in front of him abruptly.

    Repulsor vs Unstable Molecules
    Repulsor vs Unstable Molecules
Repulsors are generally used defensively and Stark often uses them to neutralize his opponents. His repulsors as set beforehand or tunable and although painful they are usually not lethal, as seen in the Civil War story arc, when Iron Man used them against Spiderman. The adjusted power was only just enough to render him unconscious without any major physical harm.

*Set to a certain frequency they can stabilize Unstable Molecules

    Other Users

    • Sentinels also use repulsors, they are located with in the palms of their hands
    • Titanium man as well as crimson dynamo use repulsors within there suits of armor
    • Iron Monger frequently uses his repulsors
