    Creation

The fictional character named Reflecto first actual appearance was in Adventure Comics 354, March 1967. This first appearance was as a memorial statue of deceased Legionnaire in the titled story "Adult Legion". The storyline would place Reflecto and the Legion in the far future as adults.

Reflecto's first appearance in action was in the DC Comics series Legion of Super-Heroes-#277 The man Who Chained The Earth!, July 1981.

    History

    Original Continuity: New Earth

    In Honor of a Hero
    In Honor of a Hero

The identity of Reflecto was first used by the Legionnaire from the 30th century called Ultra Boy, who would be lost in time after he was assumed to have been killed by the villain Pulsar Stargrave.

Rattled in time and space he would fine Superboy during the 20th century and mind-control the boy of steel into disguising himself in the identity of Reflecto. Returning to the 30th century he went on to Earth to fine the Legion of Super-Heroes whose members automictically believed him to be Ultra Boy in disguise.

Discovering the truth that Reflecto was Superboy the Legionnaire Dawnstar would use her mutant tracking powers to find Ultraboys body. The Legion would change the statue that had originally been made to honor Ultraboy and made it in the image of Reflecto. And there lies the statue of the hero named Reflecto in the Hall of Fallen Heroes

    5-Year Gap, Five Years Later

While the Reflecto of Pre-Crisis Earth had indeed been an identity shared by Superboy and Ultra Boy, the ramifications of the new "Glorithverse" timeline created when Glorith assumed the role of the Time Trapper created a new Reflecto. This version was an individual separate from both Ultra Boy and the then non-existent Superboy. He was the second representative of the planet Rimbor to join the Legion, whose real name was Stig Ah. During the gap between the Magic Wars and the "Five Years Later" continuity, Reflecto was given Legion membership, only to die fighting the Molecule Master. The deceased corpse of Reflecto would later be animated by Mordru to attack the remaining Legionaries. This timeline would be wiped away by the event called Zero-Hour.

    Threeboot: Earth Prime

Reflecto would be revised in the continuity in which the Legion of Super-Heroes were young teens again and he would appear as a crazed fan of the Legion. Here he would use his powers to reflect his attempted capture after he appeared to loose control when it was announced that Dream Girl had been killed in the line of duty. Apparently believing that it was his destiny to be together with dream Girl as her eternal love and lashing out on the Legionaires until Triplicate Girl intervened. With only the native Caarnian ability to split into three duplicates of herself Reflecto had no power over her. He would later be referred by the Legionnaire Shadow Lass as "Reflecto".

    Powers and Abilities

Refecto had the ability to reflect any powered attack that was directly aimed at him and send it back to its original source. It is surmised that Reflecto puts off a field around himself and it is able to reflect any fast moving object, energy or matter (not gaseous), which is directed at him.

    Equipment and Paraphernalia

Reflecto was given the standard legion Flight Ring while a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. The wearer is able to fly at various speeds and heights depending on his will power. It also houses a mini computer able to communicate over vast distances, navigation system, and signal devise.
