better than I expected
Ever since the stellar movie starring Brigitte Nielson and the Governator, I have not had much interest in anything Red Sonja beyond ogling posters and tattoos. I was sent this issue and began my research. There really is a die hard fan base for this woman! When I started finding image after image of Red Sonja tattoos, I figured this was something I shouldn't just pass judgment on without actually giving it a try.
I was pleasantly surprised with this issue. Sonja is portrayed as a real warrior not just a voluptuous barbarian woman in a metal bikini. Ok, she is in the metal bikini which really doesn't seem to provide that much protection as far as armor choices go, but the character has genuine dialog and interaction with other people.
