Tim and Tam are surrounded by encircling spider council members, he gets a call from Ras telling him he not dead. When Wanderer realizes she has been duped Tim attacks. Ras watches the whole thing from his unknown location. His unseen company lament Tim is dead already but Ras thinks the opposite he’s already won!

Tim manages to save everyone and fend off the entire council; he makes his way to their command room where he sets off a self destruct. He also orders Pru to leave and she does much to his amazement. White ghost promises Tim will pay but Tim grabs Tam and they jet out of the cave right as everything destructs even the league centers in other countries.

One free Tam gives him a kiss and Ras tells him he is indeed dangerous but he will pay him back by destroying his family and work. Tim realizes that he means to attack so he tells Tam they need to get back ASAP that works for her since that would complete her task.

Once they leave a man finds a woman’s exposed hand upon touching it he falls dead. Wanderer and her surviving members have decided they have found an even better hunt, Red Robin!

    The Good:

This issue had an epic feel, absolutely epic on all fronts. Tim shows why he’s badass he shows why he’s worthy of being my list of greatest fighters in the dc universe his big ole brain! Ras serves as narrator while drake becomes the fighter Shiva and Bruce always thought he would be calculating, cunning and above all unlike any of them but still like them. Got that? Dicks natural athleticism, Bruce brains and Shiva deadly moves all seamlessly blended together to give drake a killers edge without resorting to lethal force while surrounded by some very deadly people.

One thing every previous reviewer has missed was what Ras said to Tim in that cave…he called him the telltale sign that Ras has plans for Tim…he called him young Detective much like he calls Bruce/Batman detective. Ras always has plans for Bruce to be and produce for him an heir now TIM becomes a worthy successor. I love it! You guys missed it but it was hands done the most important two words of the series thus far

The stage is set for a showdown between Ras and Tim and I can’t wait for it!

Also noteworthy was the execution of the spider guild as a viable threat to the league and now Tim has ras, the league, the council all gunning for his head. All new villains with story potential galore!

    The Bad:

Seriously people didn’t like this issue?

    The Ugly:

Perfect action/character driven story with great art 5/5 stars

      The Winner is... 0

So the question at the beginning of this issue is " Will Tam Survive?" because i don't think we have any doubt that Red Robin likely will come out of it somehow considering its his book and this is issue 8 of an ongoing series. Robin spends a second or two to mull over the possibilities before finally taking on the whole spider gang all by himself. There isn't much more to this issue than fighting and a swift reminder that Tim is a former Bat-Kid. This issue gives a huge nod to Tim being the ide...

"Drake is different." - Ra's al Ghul 0

as a longtime Tim Drake fan, i've grown rather tired of seeing him being portrayed as the weaker Bat-kid. They always pointed out that hes not as "by the seat of his pants" as Dick, not "a street tough brawler" like Jason, and not as "raised by assassins" as Batgirl.    But this issue finally does what i've been waiting for since Batman died: shows that Tim Drake is is as close to the Dog Gamn Batman as your gonna get.  The conclusion to "Council of Spiders"has Tim in the middle of Ra's al Ghul'...
