Red Robin has successfully saved Gotham from itself mainly. Time to get back to old business that is unfinished. The Good:Red Robin keeps interacting with new and less-familar characters, such as Lynx and Tam Fox. This makes the book feel fresh and adds a bit of excitement.Revisiting old plot points and evil masterplans is not always a bad idea. The adventures are global. This adds a little variety to the scenery. The book has a big enough sense of humour to acknowledge or reference the things it w...

    The Scarab's Sting 2

Bruce Wayne and Lucius Fox are targeted for assassination by the Scarab while she is still in jail! What is going on here and can Red Robin put the clues together in time before he ends up being the one feeling Scarab’s sting.  The Good I am really enjoying the fact that Lynx seems to be turning into Tim Drake’s version of Catwoman and that as much as he may not be ready for it, his life is paralleling Bruce’s more and more with every issue and story arc he appears in. Tim Drake to the rescue! Through convuluted means, of course... 0

It's really nice for this series to get back on track without all of those silly crossovers because --- This comic just got really good.  Alright, alright… it was already pretty darn good, but the stakes have been upped in this issue.  There are all of these threads that are culminating into the Assassin’s tournament, and I’m in on the ride. The comic starts off with a brief update in Tim’s civilian life and relationship with Bruce and then it hits the ground running with Tim meeting up wit...

Let the assassination games begin 0

Synopsis: Scarab is after the CEO of Wayne Enterprise, but isn't Scarab in jail? And is there a bigger plan involved? What's Good? We're now going back to Scarab, the assassin who tried to kill Tim a couple of issues ago. Apparently, there is another Scarab, who's out to kill Lucius Fox. If there's one thing I appreciate about this issue is the team-up with Dick and Tim. These two work so well together. I also enjoyed Tim's playfulness when he was with Scarab. It reminded me when Tim used to be R...

    Unfinished Business 0

Tim discovers an assassination plot against Bruce Lucius which has ties to his days working with the League of Assassins.  The Good Marcus To's back on art duty this month and I couldn't be happier about it. Not that the art for the Judgment of Gotham tie in issue wasn't nice in it's own right, but nobody else has that exact vibe that this title needs. Most of the Dialog in this issue occurs through Tim's internal monologuing, which is no problem, because Nicieza knows exactly how to write Tim. ...
