    Over the first few issues of this series I thought that the series would focus primarily on Atrocitus and gives some insight into his behaviour, as the first few issues featured some of the uses of his rage for reasons which would not necessarily be considered ethical (though the interesting part was that maybe they could be as well.)  Of course in retrospect I guess that would not be enough to sustain a series off of, namely in that it would get kind of repetitive.  When that was taken from thi...

    In a series where the main idea is having powering powered by RAGE!!! That the characters would have short attention spans (or short fuses should I say) which would forcefully progress the story quickly to get things done. Yet I’m surprised at the slow passing that Red Lanterns has taken, moving things slower than expected to give us a more rounded understanding of the problems of being a Red Lantern and the danger that comes to them.     This issue begins in a flashback, where Abysmus delivers some painfully clunky dialogue, reiterating out loud to himself, what he told Atrocitus last issue. Two hours later.Then this issue begins to deliver a much more streamlined and interesting storyline that would've been much appreciated several months ago. Basically the problem was the long drawn out setup of Bleez's coup. That's the main element that poisoned this series. I liked Bleez plenty, but Milligan's doing such a terrible job with ...

    I really had high hopes for this book, I really did. The first parts were well done character development and were a great setup for Atrocitus to go out and avenge people or whatever the hell the initial solicitation was. I was willing to accept the whole division between Bleez and Atrocitus as a good B-plot that could be expanded later, but this whole business with what are essentially the retarded Red Lanterns is too much for me. I don't care about Abysmus or his hideously malformed breathren....
