    "Let's Go Kick Some Ass....Team."

    Synopsis

Jason Todd's past meets the present as his mentors before his days as the Red Hood have been killed.

    The Good

After reading the first issue, I was rather on the fence whether to continue or not. You'll be pleased to hear it gets better.

One of the main bugbears of the opening issue I had (amongst many readers) was the characterisation of Starfire, however in this issue (despite not being in it much) she does seem a whole less promiscuous. There was several slightly inappropriate comments but nothing as bad as the previous issue.

Rocafort's art continues to impress me. In particular there was a page spread where the team is freefalling through the air where Red Hood has these forearm blades attached, which very much reminded me of a eerily similar page featuring Damian Wayne and Dick Grayson (as Batman) from the previous iteration of Batman and Robin. If that was intentional, I dig that.

This issue as I've mentioned mainly involves Jason Todd before his Red Hood days, and fans of the Red Hood: Lost Days series will be pleased to see Talia al Ghul again. I'm glad we are getting some "canonical" origins into this series. I look forward to seeing what they will do for Roy and Starfire.

    The Bad

To be honest, aside from some of the action scenes being a tad too busy from my tastes I really liked this issue.

    Conclusion

I understand peoples frustration at last issue, but I recommend those folks should try this one. It does get better, I promise!

Scott Lodbell and Ken Rocafort know how to WOW! an audience 0

Scott Lobdell practically embeds in this issue a huge: “HA-HA-HA! I’M STILL KICK @$$”The Good. Like I said before, no one does impressive character dynamics like Scott Lobdell. He is untouchable in that department. This is such a good read; the humor, the wit and the sass Lobdell is known for is right there for everyone to read. Lets not forget Kenneth Rocafort and his amazing art. I’d like to say that he is one of the best artists I have seen this New 52, detail and facial expression is effortl...

      Exploring Jason's Past 0

The Story: Red Hood and the Outlaws travel to the Himalayas to find the assassins behind the murder of Ducra.  My Thoughts:I was excited for this second issue after finishing the surprisingly enjoyable first issue by Scott Lobdell. While I once again enjoyed this issue, some may not be satisfied since most of this issue takes place prior to the cliffhanger of the previous issue. This issue delves a little deeper into Jason's past while showing the events that led up to cliffhanger last issue. Th...
