    Review: R.E.B.E.L.S. #19

    The Story

The whole "Sons of Brainiac" arc continues! It's the war of the super-geniuses and planet Colu is the battleground.
With Brainiac on the loose, his methods force Vril Dox and his estranged son to do the unthinkable: team up!

    The Good

So far this arc has been persistently excellent with these first two issues. Mainly on part to the story which is riddled with great potential, showcasing the Dox family and all their faults.Which I'd think a lot of people could admit it's a pretty intriguing, especially considering the head of the family is a psychopathic genocide committing super-strong and intelligent monster. Brainiac aside for moment this story also delve a bit into Coluan culture which is generally unfocused upon. The dialogue is pretty smart and witty, and the art  never ceases to do the job. Overall this issue is really solid, and it's bound to sufficiently entice you to come back for more (issue #20).

    The Bad

The biggest problem with this title and issue specifically is that appeals to a limited audience at least in my opinion, and secondly the causal appearance of the L.E.G.I.O.N./ R.E.B.E.L.S. they really kind of only do a disservice to the flow of the overal issue.Though their appearance is generally for like comic relief or as a distractionary tool it just could be handled better not to disrupt the story as it's unfolding as much. Oh! the only other thing is the story is a bit paradoxical with continuity but I guess it can't always make sense. Other then that, that's really pretty much it as far as the negative aspects in this issue, and the title in general go.

    The Verdict: 4/5

Overall this issue and the title as a whole have been pretty intriguing, and a enjoyable read so far.  So I'd really recommended this arc in particular if your interested in a really  awesome read about a obscurely covered dynamic. Plus the last page really hooked me into coming back for #20.
