Story
Young Nicole enters a disassociative disorder and becomes lost in a magical supernatural realm where she is kidnapped by the CandyMan. Switchblade Symphony band members, Tina Root, Susan Wallace, George Earth, and Scott Van Shoick being mystically attuned are prodded by cats to travel there to save her where they encounter a number of strange and unusual things. They eventually journey to the CandyMan's castle where the young Nicole is kept in a giant bird cage. In Switchblade Symphony's encounter with the CandyMan, he reveals that he only wanted to protect her psyche and sought to keep her in the realm forever because 'pretty things should be forever'. But the band convinces him to let her go so that she may live her own life in the real world. Back in the real world, we see Nicole Mitchell committed to an insane asylum.
Behind-The-Scenes
A fan of the band, artist Albert Holaso sent in fan art which featured a call out to Switchblade Symphony. The band's manager, contacted Albert and expressed that Susan and Tina loved the art. In the conversation, Albert pitched the idea to do a comicbook issue featuring the band. Working with London Night Studio at the time, Albert approached Everette Hartsoe with the offer who agreed but wanted to include his flagship character, Razor, in the story. Everette allowed Albert to craft the entire story. Ideas were generated by interviewing the band while on tour in Florida. Plot notes and dialogue suggestions were provided with the final art. Everette Hartsoe wrote the final dialogue and narration. The comic was available as a part of Switchblade Symphony's Two Witches Tour.
