What if they did a marvel/dc cross over in which Raven becomes the host of the phoenix force? how would that be? Could Raven handle it? Possible synopses?

Interesting idea, but I think that it would lead to a struggle of some sort where Raven's own powers try to beat out those of the invading Phoenix.Try this one on for size:

The Phoenix Force invades Raven, finding her a suitable host but runs into the powers of her birthright leading to a mental struggle between Raven, the powers Trigon bestowed on her and the Phoenix. Fractured Raven and her evil heritage eventually begin to crumble under the Phoenix's might leading to a strange alliance between the normally warring factions of Raven's psyche to remove the invader. Battle is once again joined, this time the Phoenix is slowly being forced out before the evil that is Trigon turns on his daughter in an attempt to seize the Phoenix's powers for itself. All seems lost when Trigon savages the Phoenix, however Raven has a plan of her own, secretly having been in contact with Jean Grey ever since the arrival of the Phoenix, and knows that the two forces warring for control of her mind and body are now in place and sufficiently weakened for her to unleash her pure spirit on them, sending the Phoenix back while leaving Trigons evil in a catatonic state.

@Outside_85: Very Nice. It would be awesome if a 'mysterious woman' guided raven from within her mind, whispering advice among the chaos. Then Raven and Jean develop a psychic rapport and are ever connected across universes. I imagine this taking place sometime before one of jean's resurrections, to heighten the mystery of this 'spirit guide' of raven's.

@bunnieswithtophats: Well I already see Raven as the Jean of DC, she just hasnt been pushed to the cosmic level's that Jean has. Who knows with Lobdell at the wheel we might get introduced to the Raven-force! (WAAA!) ;)

That would be an epic crossover....

@njones5: You do realize this is a "what if" situation? It's not going to happen... sadly. I honestly think that would be an epic crossover story to read. Besides, Jean Grey did mention that she and Raven were alike during a crossover they did back in the 80s.
