    Rad Omeron kidnaps Gloria Carter from a trip to San Francisco. Rad wants Dr. Carter, Gloria's father, to turn off his Spectrographic Tracer Ray for a year as a ransom for her return. This would allow Rad Omeron's Martian Bandits freedom to commit acts of piracy.

    Captain Helford of the San Francisco police contacts Dr. Carter. Soon afterward, Rad Omeron contacts the doctor with the bandit's demands. Dan Hastings takes his spaceship to rescue Gloria. Once underway, the lieutenant discovers that Bob Carter stowed away to help rescue his sister.

    Dan Hastings and Bob overcome Rad and handily rescue Gloria.
