    Often soft-spoken at times, Puar serves as Yamcha's constant companion. The two were originally a pair of desert thieves, robbing travellers who would cross the area where they lived.They eventually joined up with Goku, Bulma and Oolong on a search around the world for Dragon Balls.

    Some time after the meeting, the five of them team up and go on a hunt for the Dragon Balls. They are attacked by a robot piloted by Shuu. Shuu manages to steal the Dragon Balls except for Goku's Four star ball. They later find a castle that belongs to Emperor Pilaf. They are trapped and knocked out by sleeping gas, allowing the last Dragon Ball to be stolen. Goku the tries to use a Kamehameha to bust open the wall but fails,only managing to make a small hole in the thick castle walls. Puar and Oolong then transform to stop Pilaf from making his wish. As Pilaf was about to make his wish, Oolong wishes for underwear much to Pilaf's anger. The rest then try to escape but are later captured once again by Pilaf.However Goku looks at the moon and transforms into a Giant Ape, destroying the castle. Puar then turns into scissors and cuts off his tail and Goku returns to normal. After the search has ended,Goku decides to go to Master Roshi's island to train.While Bulma,Yamcha, Puar, and Oolong decide to go to West City and say their goodbyes to Goku. While they are flying they crash in a forest and are forced to walk through a desert to West City.

    Puar and the rest of the gang are reunited at the World's Martial Arts Tournament, where he acts as a on looker for Goku, Krillin and Yamcha's various matches.After which Puar returns with the group to West City. Puar then reunites with the group when they are forced to fight several matches for Fortune Teller Baba in order to gain the final Dragon Ball. During which Puar and Upa team up to successfully defeat Fangs the vampire in combat, by using Puar's shape shifting to create vampires weaknesses. Puar then returns with Yamcha at the next World Martial Arts Tournament, carrying him to the hospital when his leg is broken by Tien. He later turns up for the next World Martial Arts Tournamnt cheering Goku on as he battled Piccolo.Puar is later one of the group assembled at the Kame House, and watches as Yamcha is killed in battle with a Sabiaman,much to his devastation. Puar is later a part of humans who assemble to go to Namek and aid the Z-Fighters there, although the plan quickly falls apart when the ship breaks down. Following this Puar moves towards the background, frequently watching events unfold alongside Master Roshi, Oolong and Turtle.

    Following the end of the Cell Games, Puar enjoys a peaceful life alongside Yamcha. The two eventually attend the next World Martial Arts Tournament to cheer on their friends who are participating. And following Vegeta being manipulated and killing thousands at the Stadium, searches for the Dragon Balls to revive the innocents. However Puar is eventually killed by Buu, who turns him into chocolate like the others assembled on Kami's lookout. Puar is then revived with the rest of the Earth's population by Porunga.

    Powers and Abilities

    Puar seems to possess the ability to levitate on his own power,although it is unclear how. Puar also is capable of shape shifting into any form or object,and is capable of holding forms for an indefinite period of time.
