During SDCC Rick Remender was asked:
"With the launch of the new X-Force, will we see a rekindling of the Angel/Psylocke love story?"
His reply was simply...
"Yes."
YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!
Bring back 'Berren!' (Yes I know it's awfull, but I couldn't think of anything else!)
Betsy Braddock
Character » Betsy Braddock appears in 4596 issues.
British beauty Elizabeth Braddock is twin sister of Captain Britain a mutant, former fashion model, and Charter Pilot. She is a long-standing member of the X-Men, Leader of Excalibur, and Founder of the reformed Captain Britain Corps, multi-versal alternate versions of herself.
Psylocke and Angel to 'rekindle' relationship
I don't know if it's going bring them back together
but I foresee some awfully unfomortable breakfasts together as a team
Betsy: "So um....you're blue again, huh? That's neat."
Warren: "Yeah, thanks. I heard you got your old body back for a while. That must have been nice."
Betsy: "Define 'a while'...'"
Vomit. He dumped her for a reason, because he didn't love her. I hate it when writers ignore continuity.
Isn't he still with Husk? I don't recall reading that they had ended their relationship? Must have missed that issue.
They both seem to mirror the changes in each other's experiences:
Warren's a billionaire playboy / Betsy's a British blue-blood (both are Hellfire legacies)
Warren lost his wings / Betsy lost her eyes
Warren got new ones from Apocalypse / Betsy got new ones from Mojo
Warren's transformations granted him new powers of light / Betsy gained an affinity for shadows
Warren can shift between his forms / Betsy now has both tk AND tp
I always like to fill in the holes that writers left open, so I saw Betsy's flirtation with Neal as a contrivance on Betsy's part to make Warren break things off. She had a premonition of her death and wanted to have an adventure with someone who shared her fiery passion for life where sticking with Warren wouldn't be fair to him since she knew she was gonna die. I can see them getting back together working again, I just wish the transition between deaths and resurrections and epic crossovers had been more thorough.

lol

What about 'Wetsy'? XD
Once Fraction makes Emma evil and, Jean comes back, and dies again; then Psylocke should hook up with Scott.
Betsy / Warren
both wealthy, members of Hellfire Club
lost eyes to Slaymaster / lost wings to Marauders
given new eyes by Mojo / given new wings by Apocalypse
gained shadow powers from Crimson Dawn / gained light based wings as a resurgence of Apocalypse's influence
now commands both tk & tp / now commands both angelic & Death forms
I'd like to see some interaction between her and Cypher though ;)
p.s. there's an older thread about this: For the Love of Psylocke
meh, i want them to start off as rekindling their romance and then have it turn into love triangle with phantomex, with betsy eventually getting with him.
I'm glad to see Archangel/Psylocke relationship. It's much better than Angel/Husk (I have nothing against Husk, but I don't like the idea of her and Warren as a couple).
I guess I'm in the minority here, but I liked her better when she was British and normal. And her relationship with Warren was whack.
I like the current relationship in X-Force because it makes a lot sense, there's some real substance to it, it's deeper than just two good-looking mutants hooking up.
Warren's efforts to control Archangel, Betsy's helping him, the similarities between how they've both evolved in recent years (both more prone to violence, increasingly desensitized to killing)... it all makes for an interesting dynamic. They keep each other in check through the care and affection they share, neither wants to become a killer but they can feel that their moral compass has shifted a lot. This is definitely the kind of drama that I welcome in my X-books.
"I like their current dynamic BUT as shown in the recent issue of uncanny x-force psylocke is teetering on the line of being his girlfriend and being his mother(reminds me of the british embodied psylocke)I like the current relationship in X-Force because it makes a lot sense, there's some real substance to it, it's deeper than just two good-looking mutants hooking up.
