Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock was born to the Braddock family in Maldon, England. The twin sister of Brian Braddock (Earth 616 Captain Britain) and younger sister of Jamie Braddock (Reality warper), it is said that she and her siblings developed powerful abilities in part do to inheritance from their father, James Braddock, a former highly regarded member of the interdimensioal Captain Britain Co. Eventually joining the X-Men, she would go on many missions and continue to develop her psychic powers until a vision of the X-Men's demise leads to the team entering the Seige Perilous, Betsy would be captured and have her body switched with the Japanese assassin Kwannon (codenamed: Revanche) who would live on in her body. Recently she was able to regain her original body after recreating it using psychic energy from loss souls. A fearsome warrior and a powerful psychic, Psylocke is one of the most dangerous AND versatile fighters of all the X-Men.

1. Telepathy: When her powers first arose, Betsy would at first develop a form of minor precognition before blossoming into a full blown telepath. After being resurrected by her reality warping brother Jamie, Psylocke would temporarily become immune to telepathy and reality manipulation as part of Jamie's gambit to defeat The First Fallen. While on a mission with the Exiles, Psylocke was kidnapped by Madelyne Pryor who would attempt to switch her body in a plot that resulted in Psylocke remaining in her Asian body but regaining her telepathy, but apparently lose her telepathic immunity and reality warping immunity. As of now, after the Dark Angel Saga, Psylocke with the help of Jean Grey from the Age of Apocalypse reality, has become a part the of the group of Earth's most highest ranking of telepaths, called an Omega Class Telepath, joining alongside telepaths such as Emma Frost and Charles Xavier.

2. Telekinesis

During an attempt to defeat the Shadowking, Psylocke and Omega-Level telekinetic Jean Grey would have their powers switched leading to Psylocke losing her telepathy and gaining Jean's powerful telekinesis.

3. Psionic Weapons (Daggers, Knives, Swords, Shields)

The most well-known aspect about Psylocke ever since the body-switch is the inheritance of her psychic weapons in compliment to her martial arts skills. A favoured ability of Psylocke's, these psychic weapons are the focused totality of her telepathy or telekinesis. Because of its focused raw power, it will physically light up as it forms a weapon based on Betsy's preference. Betsy can control the power and lethality of the weapons. It can be used to instantly kill or KO anyone it pierces. It causes damage by affecting the mind and/or body and bypasses all conventional durability. It is strong enough to harm beings much more powerful than her and harm beings resistant to telepathy.

Psylocke's focused totality of her power, the same power that her psionic weapons are made of, protects Psylocke from Shadow Kings mental onslaught, which reaches worldwide. (Astonishing X-Men vol 4 #12)

4. Physicals

After being forced to switch bodies with that of a psychic assassin, Kwannon (aka Revanche), Psylocke would learn to focus more on hand-to-hand combat and would develop the ability to focus "the totality of her psychic power" into the form of a Psionic knife.

She's become such a pivotal character.

Psychically "corrected" Mystique's personality (Not sure it really took, though)

Threatened Magneto that she'd take him out if he got out of line, something he didn't take lightly...and she actually did land a fatal blow, even though he was totally healed on the next page.

She's the only X-Man trusted with Xavier's secret possession of Fantomex's modified body.

Despite being an Omega mutant, Jean Grey relies on Betsy to reinforce her psychic constructs.

I'm curious how they're going to handle Kwannon's return in Uncanny and if she'll have any hard feelings against Bets after being dead such a long time.
