The Protectors continue to suffer from surmounting tension within the team. Ferret quits and is met by the Witch, who quit previously. Night Mask and Man of War find romance with each other. The trial of Man of War continues and the committee calls in Eternal Man, who has suffered since the battle against Extreme. He states his testimony, which unfortunately doesn't help Man of War. After the trial, the mob of protesters rush in attack the Protectors, beating Man of War badly. However, he was protecting a small child lost in the crowd.
