I did say if I were going down that route, but if they did have a telepathic link to the Witch, you'd be screwed anyway (since she'd know you hadn't really join, or been captured).

True, but there's also the possibility they might just know where she is "supposed" to be. Or there could be magic in her voice that commands them. There's just a lot of things that can go wrong no matter what I do.

@serpinethegreen: Another issue with impersonating the Witch is that the Witch could just recall to her mansion whenever. So having to walk there would be rather suspicious.
That is risky. If I were going down that route, I'd probably make her the Witch, and have you as either a prisoner, or a subject (as in act like you joined), but that's only if I were going down the "hiding in plain site" route. Then again if you can copy the predators "invisible suit", you could have her in plain site, and you invisible (you would still be screwed if any of them have enhanced senses)
Having her impersonate the witch is just as risky. For all I know they have some magic mental link with the real witch. This is actually information I could ask Darkrai about.
