@admirallogic: The knave looked at the bullet dents littering the mech. "Wait, did you say androids are after you? Should I be skipping town?" His tone was both sarcastic and serious at the same time. "That one of them?" He asked, pointing at the robot held inside the mech's hand.

@the_shogun: "I roll regularly with a BJJ blackbelt (and get my but kicked lol), I've done a small amount of folk style wrestling and this area is covered in BJJ schools. One of the Gracies even has a studio around here. So I know exactly what grappling is and isn't."---- We are speaking of grappling in an armed context, not an unarmed one.

"The reason you don't want to stay with the 'dark ages' is because you are losing and looking to move those goalposts anywhere you can move them."

Okay. Really? Think about what we are actually arguing here. We are debating whether or not it is realistic for a period piece to feature a female soldier (something unusual and historically noteworthy), who is not only a highly effective action hero able to take on other trained soldiers (something else unusual, and historically noteworthy), but does so all while having a normal feminine physique. Even with a large muscular character, this can stretch believability, let alone someone of a smaller build male or female. In what way should the goal post logically be limited solely to pre-1300s?

"Nearly every society across the world and across every period had a wrestling style."--- Well yea, it's a pretty integral part of combat.

"claiming that random youtuber X proves your point without using a single period source is dubious at best and disingenuous at worst when you consider that you are just posting random videos of techniques separated from the period at hand by hundreds of years."------ First off, these are people who are engaging in duels and experiencing what is effective vs ineffective. Secondly, you are ignoring the fact that I did link you to manuals that depict large amounts of binding techniques.

"Sparred with anyone who knew what they were doing one time in your life you'd realize you cannot just muscle through the bind."--- You can't muscle your way through a Brazilian jujitsu match either, but that doesn't change the fact that size and strength gives an advantage. We aren't talking about a trained warrior fighting a random body builder, we are talking about a trained warrior fighting other trained warriors.

"To paraphrasing parts of my own posts back to me lol?"

I didn't notice you had said anything about this. Now I am confused. You admit that in wrestling, size and strength matters. You also admit that in armored comeback, grappling/wrestling is an important skill. What are we even arguing about at this point? In battle there are going to be people who are well armored, and there are going to be people who aren't.

"fights between people who wear full harness strength can become important because wrestling is much more important."

Wait. Just to be clear here. Are you openly stating that a female soldier who fights on the front lines, during extended battles, and actually has to kill other soldiers (and is successful at it), is realistic as long as it takes place between the 6th-13th century, but not 14th+?

"Strength is not very important in fights where shields are used"--- Yet I showed you a sparring match using shields that turned into a grappling match 3 times in a row.

The rest of your post is a string of denials. Why am I the only one bothering to actually back up what I say with links?

"Though for your information SCA fighter practices lasted for six hours and as long as I didn't have to deal with an extremely heavy shield I wasn't more disadvantaged in terms of fatigue toward the end than anyone else."------- Practice lasts for six hours, but are you consistently battling for those 6 hours, and with what rule set?

The Knave set up camp on the roof of an abandoned building right outside of Fort Knox. He had just finished hard days work of clearing out a hive of mutated rats. Not only did the job pay well, but he even made a small fortune off the meat. He was pretty much set for a life of luxury. At least for the next week or two. He had originally planned to take the day off, but at this point he was so bored he was just about ready to blow his own brains out. Just when he thought the day couldn't get any slower, he noticed something off in the distance. It was a Mech carrying a humanoid robot.

"Well how about that. Looks like things are going to get interesting here after all." He said to himself.

Sorry, I am tired. That last post was really sloppily written, I know. I felt like I need to at least put something out there today. Don't want to fall out of habit.

At Beatrice's Manor:

After changing into a new set of clothes, I stepped out into the hallway and greeted by a servant who was outside waiting for me.

"Greetings sir. Lucifer told me that if you require entertainment, I was to lead you to the recreational room." His voice was deep and scratchy.

"Yes, I'd like that." I said, before bowing to him.

The butler led me through a long hallway, paintings lined up on both sides. The mansion was large, though perhaps not as large as the one that I lived in when I was younger. It made me wonder how the servants were doing right now. They had always been kind to me, despite my frequent pranks.

"Here we are, sir. Lady Beatrice's apprentice is already inside." He said, before bowing and taking his leave. I could hear voices coming from the room. When I opened the door, there was a little girl was sitting on a couch. She was staring a box displaying moving pictures, it also seemed to be where the voices were coming from.

@the_shogun: lol are you actually going to add anything to this conversation, or just be snarky?
