Okay, maybe I'm the only one who didn't think this issue was that great. Don't get me wrong, it was enjoyable: most of the characters are well-written, their interactions here are great, there some good action which shows just how badass Rogue is. However, I noticed some serious flaws that kind of dragged down the issue for me. First off. what is with Kitty's dialogue? Like, how old is she supposed to be? She talks like she's thirteen. John Constantine: Hero for Hire 1
All I can say is "wow, wow, wow, mega wow." I loved this issue and I'm glad I decided to jump back on this series just as Lemire is taking over on writing duties. Now, don't get me wrong, Millegan's stuff was really good. I read the first two issues of the series and thought they were excellent. Wow. All I can say is that this issue was really great. A perfect blend of sci-fi and suspense, with a little bit of social/religious commentary on the side. We see some interesting revelations in this issue that tie all the way back to Captain Atom #1. We also see what has become of the world twenty years from Cap's present: what's happened to some of the side characters we've come to know, how the peoples' attitudes towards Captain Atom have changed, and what becomes of the Captain himself.I d...

Its very rare that what is essentially a filler issue gets me so excited and leaves me with a feeling of absolute contentment, but that is basically what happened here. I continue to be amazed at the quality of writing that's being churned out by Azzarello on this title. In this issue, we see a further exploration into the pantheon of gods that populate Wonder Woman's world and, at the same time, we discover a little bit about Hades' character. This issue got me...SO excited for the upcoming Trinity War event. My favorite part was the sentencing of Pandora, Phantom Stranger, and the Question and needless to say I'm curious about the role these characters will play in the event. In this issue, we delve deeper into Pandora's history and establish exactly who she is, what she's been through, and part of her plans. The goal of these plans, however, is still up in the air. I thought this was a very solid issue. It was nice to see that Slott actually chose to get serious with Spider-Man for once and I liked the interaction between Peter and Sable, even if it was a little cheesy. However, one thing that I have to complain about was the art. It didn't bother me that much before, but I HATE Ramos' art. The way he draws faces and figures, its just...UUUGGGHHH! A good start to what should be a great story 0
I was a little hesitant about picking up this issue because I had heard mixed things about it. But I am trying to get into reading Daredevil and Punisher, so I thought this crossover arc would be a great place to start. A Welcome Improvement From Issues 5 and 6 2
Ok, I know a lot of people think that this issue wasn't the best, and I was among them until I realized what Johns was trying to do with this issue. Like everyone, I wanted to see the dynamics of the Justice League more in depth: how they work as a team, what they've done in the past 5 years, etc. And I have to say, I was a little disappointed when I didn't see that. I'm honestly surprised that this got as high a rating as it did. I mean, I didn't think that it was bad, but it just wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. If this is supposed to be the defining event to showcase the rivalry between Dr. Octopus and Spider-Man, I kind of expect more out of it. The events just seemed a little cliché and not much thought really went into the sequence of events I felt. Over all, I have to say that this is a very solid issue for the introduction of the Indigo Tribe story arc. It finally allows us to delve into this mysterious and little known collection of Lanterns, after years of focusing on the Green, Yellow, and Blue Corps.
