I never saw Jean Grey or Psylocke bleed by the nose, most of us believe that Sue, Jean or Polaris have passive powers, which is actually the opposite, they are actually a tank type of character, what I try to say with this, you can see it in sports, defensive is the most hard job to do, because you need to hold the line, or you will loose, you need to have a lot of strength to do this(for example on Football), thats the case of Sue here, she needs to hold the Eye with her own force, this situation was the reason of the nose bleed, the overweight that she needs to hold on, the same case with Jean Grey and Polaris, they are actually more powerful than we think, because they need to deal with heavy weight, like Jean Grey in the movie with the force of water at the end of the second movie, she holds on the water pressure with force fields and even use her telekinesis to fix the jet, I think passive characters are more like Professor X or Emma Frost, they actually dont get involve in the battle, they are more outside the battle using their minds, clearly that isnt the job of Jean or Sue.

Nah, Psylocke replace Jean long time before in the 90s(Psylocke even has some Jean grey powers like telekinetic shields and more), and i think that was a cool idea than Emma, Emma was always a lame idea as a replacement of Jean, and Psylocke and Wolverine that was awesome xD, in my order of cool psychics first Psylocke, then Jean, then Emma, Emma and Cyclops were always weird and forced, in some way Emma was a rebound for Cyclops, I dont think he was into her too much, but the blond was sexy and hot, and its clear why Summers wants a piece of her xD
Lol, do you think Logan loves Jean Grey, that guy has a lot of girlfriends, he even had a child with one of them, well Daken its one of his sons, we dont know if he has others around xD, I think the problem of Jean Grey its simple, Phoenix, Phoenix its cool but bored and ironic, because I trully believe that she is the most powerful force of the universe, but at the same time thats a uncool statement, because she can take down Thanos with the gauntlet and even Onslaught, this is a lesson, that a character isnt cool by the powers, Jean Grey was cool without Phoenix, for example Phoenix in the movies, was a very lame idea, very bored and badly done, her best part was the end when she destroyed everything with atomic telekinesis, but the rest was blah and Wolverine cant do anything about Phoenix, she is galactic being, she can create stargates, she can even enter in a star without suffer any pain or destruction, sure Wolverine is an omega mutant, but Phoenix too and The omega mutant for sure.
The story of Phoenix is this way, Jean made a sacrifice as a way to save her loves ones, then as a reward she transforms on Phoenix, then all this power burned her down, till the death, see, its an infinity cicle, remember Phoenix eh Jean died in the spaceship, then she rebirth again, that was her first time, then she died as a dark phoenix and rebirth again, but this time it took a long period, she is inmortal, in some way, Phoenix its a curse for Jean Grey, since the whole saga represents the idea of a Phoenix, the bird that burned itself and rebirth over and over, and over, and over, and over, till the end of times when probably she will just hang out with eternity and death and wait to built a new realm xD
Jean Grey without Phoenix, she will be like Psylocke or Emma Frost, then why I dislike Jean Grey, very easy answer, Phoenix, Phoenix is the big problem of this character, I think Claremore was wrong with his idea that a woman needs to be strong by her powers, and this is the case of Jean Grey, I think Jean Grey was cool with her psychic powers, like shields and levitation, I think it was interesting that she didnt use a codename, she was just Jean Grey and for some time marvel girl xD, why she needs to be Phoenix, even the xmen movies were ruined by that firebird, the best part of Phoenix saga its the end, when she discover that her power its too much to handle it, and she just give up to life as a way to save her love ones, thats the epic moment. But then what happen, guess what, she isnt dead, she is inmortal and the most powerful being of the whole marvel line and mostly DC too xD
I think the Phoenix represents the power of mind, the idea of Phoenix by Claremore, it was to create a cosmic heroine and the best selection for this role was Jean Grey, the weakest xmen was the strong one, which is true, Phoenix is when the psychic powers of Jean Grey reach out higher levels, for example her flames are pirokinesis, her power of creation is based in the power of telekinesis in an atomic level, the story was messed up eventually with the idea of a Phoenix Force. Now there is some holes in the story, if Phoenix is actually above Death and Eternity, then why these two never were close to Phoenix and the same example with the Shadow King, for example Death was always around Thanos, but never around Phoenix.
To be honest I prefer Psylocke than Jean Grey, mostly because Betsy was always in control of her powers and Jean Grey well she was always Phoenix, even in the anime series, I like Jean Grey with her yellow suit and in the quest of discover her powers, I really dislike the massive power of Phoenix and its weird that Phoenix its hard to write, but Thor isnt, in some way Thor can be more powerful than the other avengers but Jean cant with the other xmen, Do you think Phoenix can take down Thanos and Onslaught together? do you? well guess what, we never know, Phoenix didn't appear in the saga of Thanos or in the saga of Onslaught, but I trully believe that Phoenix is the most powerful being in the whole arsenal of Marvel, and she can take down any character from Dc and Marvel, because she is the power of mind, which for some writers its above time, space and creation.
