Thor Vol. 1 by J. Michael Straczynski. I'm very glad I started there.

I already have my ticket to the IMAX midnight premiere! I'll be waiting at the theater all day! And I have full faith in Martin Freeman. What I've seen in the trailers looks awesome. And it's not that they thought Ian Holm would be dead, he's just too old to play a younger version of himself.

@Vance Astro: Because he isn't ever portrayed as powerful as he should be. It seems every character gets their punch in but Thor. And his dialogue is never even that great. Thor: God of Thunder has been absolutely amazing. And I just read Avengers #1, completely amazing as well. I enjoyed Thor being punched by Hulk. I wasn't disappointed with Thor because he wasn't given any sort of opportunity in the series to do something god-like quite yet. I am rather optimistic for Hickman's work on this series. SO, for the complaining? Yes, I can see why it can be annoying, but it is never without cause. We feel Thor has been given the short end of the stick these past few years. He was built up by JMS and Gillen so well throughout their runs and Siege. Then all of a sudden he became dull and powerless. Especially in AvX. What gives with that?

I know I am a LOT biased, and skipped some categories, but Thor: God of Thunder is so refreshing to me considering how downplayed (and not quite poorly written, but boringly written) he has been in the past few years. Ignore my bias and carry on... and I sure hope I'm not the only one submitting these votes, I don't want to throw it off...that much.

I hate how when there is an event, EVERYTHING ELSE is tied in with it. I wish I could just stick to my normal pickups, along with the event BY ITSELF, and not miss anything important. Like when they mention something in the main event series that happened in another comic that I wasn't picking up, then it just makes me have to waste money on the other comic! They need to make their main event comics good enough that you don't need any tie-ins.

I am using Google Chrome on Mac OS X 10.7.5.

When I hit delete on a post in a forum, and the small window asks me if I'm sure I want to delete it and click yes, it appears to have deleted at first. But when I refresh or go to my profile, the post still shows up.

@RadioactiveGazz: The Wolverine isn't a sequel to Wolverine Origins, in fact if it takes place anywhere, it will be taking place after X3. X-Men Days of Future past will hopefully give them the chance to fix any continuity issues, or perhaps give them a fresh(er) start due to all the time travel-type things that will take place.

Honestly? It was perfect. I am super pumped for what's next. In my opinion, Thor has been downplayed a lot these past few years, and hasn't been quite as humble and God-like since JMS's run. He didn't say anything stupid in this comic, and I think Aaron really sees the true Thor and brings it out well.

I feel like Marvel and DC are each unique enough it could work, but it would be very difficult to pull off, and frankly might be a huge mess.

Is his muscle also a protector of his insides? Does his super-strength add to his protection? How about the toughness of his skin, is his skin hard? I couldn't imagine Jessica Jones would enjoy that, so I'm going to cross that one out. I just feel like the full extent of his unbreakable skin isn't entirely defined anywhere.
