Yesterday, this url would result with two volumes being returned, the issues and then the TPB.

http://api.comicvine.com/search/?api_key=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&query=who_is_jake_ellis&format=xml

Starting around 4~ CST Yesterday that link started returning nothing. I can however get the volumes to come up if I change query to just ellis, like this

http://api.comicvine.com/search/?api_key=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX&query=ellis&format=xml

But, in terms of the project I'm working on, that doesn't really help me. Is there something I am doing wrong?

I'm definitely ready for that break. These events are all great but it so easy to get lost in them too and the realize that you went from buying like 4-6 comics a week to 10-15. Not only that but I'd like to see some general development between characters and what they're going through rather then eveyone going through the Dark Reign and seeing how they all deal with that.

I thought the change in the art was kind of neat. It did through me off at first, wasn't sure what was happening but over all I thought it was a neat thing to have each person perspective on it. I also thought the art for spider-woman was pretty sweet. While I can understand why people wouldn't like it I thought it was good. As far as Ms. Marvel, I didn't think the art was bad at all, but while the others kind of still had the same flow somewhat this art was too computer graphic looking for it to flow correctly, but I still thought it was good art.

I do wish it would have been the fight we were all expecting but I still thought it was really good, the way it tied into dark avengers was done well and I really liked it.

Enough talk of it here though, Captain Codebro and I will have a video review up soon so check it out.

I thought this issue was alright, another good set up for a story at best though. Most of the new dark reign stuff is all really good, and they're doing a really good job in making me want to buy the next issue because of all of the epic cliff hangers, the last New Avengers for instance. But in my opinion, as far as the dark reign stuff goes, and of what I've read of it so far, this is one of the lower books on the list of comics I'm excited about right now. I'm not saying that It wasn't good though, just  that I might have been anticipating too much from how excited I was when I read the teaser back in the secret invasion dark reign, I think it was. Over all though I thought it was pretty decent, and will continue reading it.

"I guess I often see the potential for stupidity in the world.  Yes of course it's not a family fun movie (which is why it's not being released in the summer).   But The Dark Knight was pretty dark.  I saw it at a midnight showing so I'm not sure but I'd imagine there were all sorts of kids that went and saw that, especially at matinees.  That being said, the trailer for Watchmen was attached to the beginning of the movie.  Basically everyone that saw The Dark Knight saw that trailer (that's also when a lot of Watchmen talk around here).  So all those parents that don't pay attention to what their young children do will probably think it's a safe movie.  They won't watch the trailer.  They'll just pick up that it's based on a comic book.  Maybe I'm being too drastic.  Maybe I should have more faith in the public.  But look at all the people trying to sue over 'accidentally' buying violent video games for them."
Sad but true, at first I thought no, the parents wont really let their kids go to this after having seen the last trailer and paying any bit of attention to it. "And I will whisper, No." just seems to be the thing that sticks into my mind the most showing how dark the novel was and movie will be. But you're correct parents might not have seen this, and even if they did doesn't mean that they were paying attention to what they were watching. While The Dark Knight was a dark movie, it was also really really cheesie, which to me is geared toward the family viewers, and if they are putting this scene in the movie that means to me that they are trying to stay away from that aspect which I am very happy about. Either way I think I want to try and see this in IMax just to avoid having to deal with kids/random clapping that interrupt the viewing experience.

"He still writes?! Everyone makes it sound like he's in a little house on a little island getting drunk while ripping up reprints of V For Vendetta while in a Pinstriped suit."
Well, yeah he probably is, but apparently still writing as well. A friend told me that he had an interview in wizard magazine and that's when he said that he was planning on writing this.

"I agree that Alan Moore is amazing. I've been reading his books almost exclusively lately. It seems that now one mentioned the fact that he did the League books. I just finished the second volume and there were things that happened in this book that took me completely by surprise, and they were just great twists. Absolutely a great writer, and definitely my favorite."

He did League books?! But then again I did know he did 'The Man Who Has Everything'"
yeah he did, I loved they were great. I heard recently that theres talk of him making a third book. Apparently he wants to do it in the style of a musical, should be a bit strange I think, but then again the man himself is a bit odd imo, still a great writer at that though.
