Batman & Robin #9 4

Batman & Robin #9Batman has enough on his plate so it’s up to Damian to save a target on the Court’s hit list. The Good:I know Scott Snyder is on top as far as Batman titles go, but Batman & Robin is strikingly good. Damian is told to go and save Gotham’s biggest military leader, and he gets right to it without argument. It is nice to see his instantaneous obedience when hearing the urgency in Alfred’s voice. So because Damian is on his own in this issue, we get to see him face-off agains...

Batman #9 0

Batman #9The Talons have broken into Wayne Manor, and Batman isn’t playing nicely anymore. The Good:This issue has intense action right from the start! We pick up right where we left off with issue #8 and in full force. Bruce talks about the armored suit that was in the last issue, and we see some of the coolest gadgets and tricks of the Batcave. I won’t give anything away, but Batman goes to help with one of the assassination attempts and finds out some useful information that sets up a great, a...

Daredevil #12 0

Daredevil #12Matt Murdock goes on a date with the lovely Kirsten McDuffie and tells a story from his law school days about himself and Foggy Nelson. The Good:Where to begin, the entire issue was fantastic! Kirsten McDuffie shows that she really cares about Matt by wearing a blindfold for the duration of their date, so she knows what it is like to be blind and I love that. The story that Matt tells her about a time he was at law school is so much fun to read, it is nice to see a younger Matt Murdo...

Stormwatch #9 0

Stormwarch #9A Red Lantern comes to Earth and Stormwatch picks up an odd character in Italy. Is it too much for the team? The Good:I’ll be honest with you, I hadn’t picked up a Stormwatch book one time until two days ago where I went out on a whim and picked up the whole series up to issue #9, and I’m glad I did. This title has been consistently good from start to finish. I was sad when Paul Cornell was taken off the book but Paul Jenkins picked right up and kept it going well, and Peter Milligan...

Red Hood &The Outlaws #8 0

Red Hood & The Outlaws #8 ReviewJason, Kori and Roy meet up with an old foe to settle a score once and for all.The Good:I haven’t read any of the other Scott Lobdell titles for the New 52, but Red Hood is consistently awesome! Action is instantaneous in this issue and you can count on Kenneth Rocafort and Blond to make the pages come to life beautifully with their artwork. The way that some of the panels are laid out in this book just work so well with what is happening. The Outlaws meet back...

Suicide Squad #8 0

Suicide Squad #8The hunt for Harley Quinn comes to end, what happens to the team next? The Good:We really get to see Waller in full force as a handler in this issue. Things didn’t exactly go according to plan in Gotham City in the last issue so Waller is sure to let everyone know that she is in charge and that things will go her way. Plus it is pretty interesting to see the “discussion” she has with Harley Quinn for her little episode in issue #7. We learn an interesting and dangerous secret in t...

Batman and Robin #8 2

Batman and Robin #8Batman and Damian have some deep discussion that you don’t get to see often. The Good:Bruce shows a lot of fatherly instinct in this issue. In issue #7 you remember Damian taking quite the beating from Nobody and then killing him; anyone who claims to know their Batman knows that he does not allow murder, ever. It is just crazy to see a serious matter like that take a back seat so that Bruce can get Damian home to see to his injuries. My favorite part of the whole issue, which m...

Green Arrow #8 2

GREEN ARROW #8I honestly do not have a lot of positive things to say about this book; I had high hopes for the new creative team when issue #7 came out but I just have not been impressed. The Good:Like I said, I could not find too many things to put in this section. I thought the cover looked good but what was shown on the cover didn’t even happen in the comic. But the rest of the art throughout is good, Harvey Tolibao puts in plenty of detail that is enjoyable to look at while reading through a ...

Avengers vs. X-Men #1 0

The first issue of Marvel’s biggest and most recent event; the two legendary teams, the Avengers and the X-Men, take sides against one another over the fate of one person who is believed to be the next vessel for the Phoenix Force. The Good:This was a solid issue; to see all of the tension build up throughout the story was exciting. I really liked the looks of some of the costumes as well as the character interaction between Captain America and Iron Man, Wolverine and of course Cyclops. It’s awes...

Moon Knight: The Bottom 0

This comic book had its definite ups and downs.  The story-line was average at best, I know the title is called "The Bottom" but Marc Spector just looked pathetic and I hate that because he's a strong character.  He shouldn't just give up and be a pill popper up in his room, he should be jumping back in the hero business and fighting like a hero.    Now that being said, the art work of David Finch is amazing in this one.  Truly just phenomenal, if you can't appreciate the story then you can defi...
