"I must go now, destiny is calling my name. It was...fun while it lasted, Talon." She looked at him a moment and sighed. I’m invisible aren’t I” she thought to herself. If there was any thing she hated it was never being noticed. She had spent what felt like a life time in Talon never thought of never noticed it was annoying still she was a t least seen and that was good………for now. She looked over to Talon who seemed perplexed though X23 could not see what was so wrong. “Simple version you’ve had a demonic entity living with in you like a host, in that time you were partly possessed but now due to temporal shifts in time space and supernatural plains the demonic entity which lived with in you separated and is now a single being.” Simple logic was it not. Though the minds of humans were easily overwhelmed with these things.
She then could see on coming pursuers who most likely wished to stop Hyperion in his tracks and some how stop him from detonating near New Oa. It was a foolish attempt for if he would not detonate here then where would he? Did they think that he wanted to die? Did he want to die? She did not know all she knew was that this mission needed to succeed some how and some way. She then looked over to him as he spoke, "I cannot have someone like you constantly pursuing me if I am to successfully complete my final mission, Blue Lantern.” So bold and worthy. His last mission he had accepted his death as gain. For his mission was more important that himself. A self less act if you were to look at the man. “Therefore the only logical course of action in this particular matter is to have both you and your Green Lantern ally exterminated."
She could see the logic in that. The death of few for the success of the mission. Mission over matter. It was a strange thing even before Talon she had a mission but now she was finding it hard to complete it. He was going to be dead in a few hours and she was to protect him? Was the council insane! Only moments after she had freed herself from Talon she had a mission and did not understand. And is appeared as her brother Isaac would be no help to her at this time. He was Talons guardian and no longer her brother. He cared for Talon more that he ever did for her and that enraged her even more. He then was about to unleash a mighty blast but was halted when a violet colored beam. At first she thought it was Talon but soon saw that Talon did not commence in the action.
The beam hit Hyperion and blasted him a few miles away from the battle. She remained and did not engage with the being. It appeared as another of Talon’s little acquaintances. She could see the battle raging and many people consumed by single battles between each other. The treat was minim as to being attacked. As she scanned the area she could see that Talon had engaged with a ghost of her past. Or one of the many skeletons in her closets. Which ever one Talons mind was absorbed as was every one else’s in what they were doing. Leaving her to do as she whished. Cautiously she approached Hyperion and watched as she communicated with his ring she was unable to get it all but she got the last parts. "Open a Stargate Aperture and get me to Earth as fast as possible. Also...open a comlink to Warsman and Marcus Sprectre."
She smiled slyly. Her telepathy was limited but she could pic up sub space messages. But before she could hear that the ring said "Setting course for Sector 2814. Course set. Now proceeding to scan space for suitable apertures. A Shi'ar-made Stargate Aperture has been located. Now proceeding to build a dimensional bridge to Earth, this will take a moment...Dimensional Bridge has been established, the Stargate Aperture has been activated and a path to Earth is now open. Now proceeding to establish a comlink to subjects: Warsman and Marcus Spectre. Comlink has been established." She remained in distance from Hyperion but listened in any way.
"Good. Warsman! Marcus! I've been thinking...why don't you go to New Oa and destroy it yourselves? Surely you are both fully capable of doing something like that on your own, am I right?” X23 scoffed in the presumptions of this Kryptonion. “Yes let the fools handle the war it will be over swiftly in ashes” but he continued “ Yes...yes I think I am. As for me...I am no longer going to be your pawn.” She admired his strength even a Red Lantern he had sanity and like her did not get ordered around. For if any one was to ask her to do something even the Great fool Warsman she would not heed his wishes. “I am going to Earth. If I am going to die exploding with enough force to take out New Oa and The Guardians of The Universe in one shot as Marcus suggests...then I want to be at home when I do it. Oh and Warsman? I'll see you in Hell after Andferne is done bashing your skull in. Hyperion out."
Smiling she watched as he opened a gate. She did not follow him only waited till he was fully gone and sighed. “As a worrier he dies with out fear, not even the great Phoenixes of my time retained such amount of dignity and courage.” Though X23 as evil she had a moral standard and even as a villain she could think good of others. Hyperion was strange he was no fool yet his shadow remained and left a mark on X-23 one which she never wanted. Could this have been the reason that the council so bid her to watch him till death. Was she to let him die but at least be near and watch helplessly. What ever the reason for their actions her wish was to obey the council and if they wanted her to be with him until death then she would comply to their wishes till death. “till dead do you part” she said to herself and soon looked at her demonic appearing hand. “Well Shadow teleport me to the location of the Kryptonion Hyperion”.
With that X23 was consumed with darkness and soon disappeared from the battle lines. She found herself in a busy city with lost of light. “Annoying places I will be relived to be rid of this reality and back to my own.” She murmured. After walking she soon found him. It was strange he seemed so at peace and so calm it was scarcely seen at the verge of death. She approached him. Her midnight eyes looking at his figure. Her hair was flung behind her but because of the shadow it now had crimson highlight. She watched him that moment. Content with her mission and her duty happy. But to much time had passed he knew not who she was though she knew him well. It was a different time and a different place but yet she had to ask, he would be dead soon no matter what he was going to die there was no way of stopping that, no matter weather he remembered her or not she neded to know “Hyperion” she began “….do you love me?”
