No they are not similar in function. Jimbei specifcally uses water in the body of his opponent.
Shock wave is a general term. What Mihawk did to the iceberg in Marineford would also being consider DC via shock wave by defintion. It's isn't an internal attack.
Unless you have statement which specifcally states that Marco attack is internal attack you are practicing headcanon.
You can't compare what Killer does (which is explicitly sound waves which effects insides via the guide) and compare that to Jinbei who directly effects the water inside of opponent's body. Rob Lucci's move is explicitly stated to work like the Impact Dial which is different then both Jinbei and Killer. Sai's move is directly state to be unlockable and happens to produce shock wave that reaches the inside. Producing shock waves doesn't automatically put every attack which produces "shock waves" in the same category.
There is no basis for WB and Marco having internal attacks via shockwaves other then headcanon. WB should have interal damage via Advanced Haki but other then that, no. His vibrations which prevent Aokiji's ice from freezing him is an entirely different application. Someone like Sai would obviously not break free from Aokiji's ice in the same manner.
I didn't get a notification for your tag for some reason. You can use those if you want but at the end of the day there are multiple different interpretations. I personally don't view outdated vivre cards as a reliable source as misinformation and mistranslations have emerged in the past but you are more then welcome to. Sure.
I think Mihawk > Shanks.
Keyword. You "think"
He "could" be stronger but again we don't know this yet and Shanks still undeniably has better showings off higher tier characters such as Akianu and Greenbull as of January 2023. Direct manga feats are more important to me then some really old non manga off panel support material.
@plaguedocter: Maybe but maybe not. We see him clashing with Vista and Mihawk himself says "it's only just a title." I doubt Oda would go down this route end game but when making list I try to factor the Pre-Time Skip showings.
And Shanks losing his arm was Pre-Yonko Shanks so you could also make the argument that Shanks got much stronger and Mihawk not being aware to what degree.
I'm also not sure how reliable of a source English Vire Cards are. I know for certain that the vivre card regarding Kizaru is mistranslated in the English version. And even disregarding mistranslations some of the Vire Cards like Shanks having the highest bounty among the Yonko were proven to be wrong later on.
I never gave you a downvote nor trashed yours this quite literally was me wondering why you gave certain places like Shanks above Whitebeard but not Mihawk as I found those problematic and wanted to voice my opinion.
For the reasons in my first reply. Mihawk "could be" neck in neck with Shanks but we don't actually know this for a fact yet. I even said you could switch Mihawk around depending on personal interpterion. We'll see in the last arc. I don't think that it is reach that Mihawk "was stronger" then illness WB if he gets crazy feats this last arc which he probably will.
Like just becuase Roger lacks actual feats you still wouldn't put Roger below Whitebeard just becuase Whitebeard has more feats so in that vein that's how I see Mihawk and Shanks as even if you don't think their equalsbor one is stronger than the other it still should be noted that they are portrayed as somewhat equals.
Roger has direct feat of clashing with Prime Whitebeard in flashback of Wano arc. And this is Roger not far removed from his terminal illness. I just simply haven't personally seen enough from Mihawk to put him above MF Whitebeard yet. I think it is debatable but if we go strictly off Pre-Time Skip feats then WB was more impressive for sure.
Also as for my blogs being "wanked" that literally is the exact reason I made them since I didn't want people to think they are "wanked" I wanted people to understand that such scaling actually Is viable and not just dismiss them just becuase they think it is an overestimatation of the verses capabilities.
That's fine. I just assumed you were coming over to reign on my parade and say my list is trash. I was just saying I wouldn't do the same to you. Fine with constructive criticism but some of your disagreements came off as nitpicky. Most of what you disagree with come from what are like interprtation based scaling. Sorry if I came off as rude.
Anyways... that'll be all have a good day hope you understand my thought process better.
Shanks above Old Whitebeard but Mihawk not aswell?
I already address this if you actually read. You could move them around.
Plus Shanks flat out has better feats against higher tier characters such as Greenbull and sky split with WB. Opposed to Mihawk who fought Jozu and Vista via showings. Preponderance of evidence until further notice. Just be happy I put them in the same tier.
Benn Beckman above Sengoku?!
Yes. I have a very high opinion of Beckman. I think he is probably above old Rayleigh who I find to be more impressive then old Sengoku. This is Jaya arc Sengoku not prime. I have all the Admirals above Old Sengoku and Garp too until further notice.
Luffy above Enel?!
I literally typed in Luffy's description that he is only above Enel because of his Devil Fruit. Did you even read? lol
Vice Admirals so low even though in Marineford we see them dogwalk a way stronger version of Luffy..
They didn't dog walk Luffy. He was already in a weakened state. We literally see the buster call Vice Admiral gassing up Rob Lucci in Ennie's Lobby saying he can't lose. The only Vice Admiral shown to "dog walk" him in a healthy state is Smoker due to Logia and that is because Luffy doesn't have Haki at the time. I have them in the same tier as Enel/Luffy any way. Meaning you could move them around. Did not feel comfortable with putting them in tier above Enel with lack of showings. Not all Vice Admirals are built the same. The ones on this list are mostly featless. Having Haki doesn't give automatic win as even Boa's sisters had Haki when they lost to Luffy on Amazon Lily.
but somehow I'd reckon the real kicker is Robin above Ohm and Sanji like where did you come to that conclusion I wonder.
Yeah. I have a very high opinion of Robin early on in comparison. I already typed in description. I don't exactly have Robin above Sanji if you actually look at the picture I posted. Could go either or. If they are in the same tier, it means they can give each other a competitive fight. Sanji doesn't definitively catch up to Zoro until Ennies Lobby. (maybe Foxy arc)
Old Garp should be = Old Whitebeard and Sengoku scales to and even above Old Garp since he held back a bloodlusted Old Garp...
I don't agree with this statement. Not until we get more feats at least. "Should be" isn't a fact just like your take with Mihawk. These are things that can be interpreted different ways.
so you saying Ben Beckman is above that Sengoku... I don't buy it.
Old Sengoku isn't impressive. Blocked by balloon form Luffy. Call PIS if you want. I have old Rayliegh and Beckman above old version Sengoku unless we get more showings.
As for Luffy above Enel I understand you took into consideration Luffy's devil fruit but in reality Enel >
Okay. Then stop being so perplexed then.
Luffy for the most part as if say Luffy ate any other fruit he would've died as Enel could've just won.
Yes. I typed this out already. In an overview power scaling tier list I'd have Enel above Luffy. But this is a liner power scaling tier for this arc in particular.
Like if your reason for Luffy > Enel is becuase of Luffy's devil fruit then why don't you have Sanji below Nami or some such.
Sanji only loses to Nami because he refuse to touch woman. But he is completely capable of hurting Nami which isn't the same thing. Luffy on the other hand has the damage output to actually put down Enel and is immune to lighting.
Thinking back on it if we assume the "Snake God" and Nola and such are a basis... no joke Noland/Kalgara could be put above Skypeia Luffy since Skypeia Luffy while in Nola didn't do much damage to Nola even when inside the snake but Boland and Kalgara can oneshot the snake.
Yes and I literally typed this out in their description. Only thing that keeps me from putting them higher then Enel is it isn't ever shown they have Haki.
I don't really have time to log on to Comicvine as much as I would want as I work longs hours at a job. So if I don't reply instantly that's why.
Also, you don't see running up on your wanked power scaling blogs for Wano giving it a down vote and shitting on them despite me completely disagreeing with them. Unless something is completely prosperous, then we can talk.
@the_hajduk: I started with the anime English dub as well except once I switched over to the Japanese and heard Luffy's voice I never went back the English again. lol. When I started watching, Whole Coke Island was already done and I just started binge watching the entire series within 3 months before reading the manga. I agree that the manga is the preferable way to take in most of the series until Whole Cake Island and Wano where the animation takes a massive step up. Also really loved Arlong Park Walk, Ennies Lobby and Sabody in the anime.
A good website you can read One Piece is Mangasee123.com
It has both traditional and colored versions. And you can alternate between one page at a time or the whole chapter while scrolling down.
