@akbogert: I understand you in that point. I see some weeks ago her new suit and i kind of feel disapointed, because they don't even respect her old armor... The thing about her culture is that her people are supose to see clothes as useless. As warriors, they just use the necessary to protect and at the same time to absorb the sun freely as Tamaran is much farther from the sun than Earth and probably find it easier that way. But the new suit, while have things that I like (the boots, shoulder pads) that part of the breast is a joke.

But I try to look on the bright side, now this new suit is more practical in the breasts. Still not entirely believable, but .... nature of comics?

I still like more the space suit, but that just my taste :) ... But i pick this over the first suit any day. If is properly drawn, it can even look cool.

It is an issue and i agree with you but at the same time i do look my comic book characters to look good. which is why i suggested tweaks to the original outfit in order to make it more tasteful/practical instead of the space suit which i found rather bland.

I think that's a perfectly reasonable response. As I said when discussing the "needs power from the sun" argument, just because the armor covers too much of her body doesn't mean we have to jump to the extreme of having her back to skivvies. I think somewhere between the two would be ideal.Or, honestly, at least bring it up in the book. Have some character point it out and have her make some declaration of wearing whatever she darn well pleases. I'd still see it as obvious fanservice but at least they'd have had the balls to own up to it :)

THIS. Thanks for make this blog, @akbogert: ... you're not the only one who cares. I do know how Starfire is, but c'mon... in the past, at least their designs were acceptably practical. I even like her armor. It grew on me. And it bothers me that some people see her character as pure fanservice. She's not.

But i don't understand why Starfire should wear a space suit in first place, when she's an alien that always have been capable of traveling around the space without protection. I meant, if she want to be in the space naked, she can and nothing wrong is going to happen to her. So, why they make her wearing now a space suit? for protection? i don't think so. And again they make her and Blackfire use guns, so i will not going deep there. Don't get me wrong, i do like the costume. (It just need more purple, maybe?)

I just believe those guy are really good in make lame excuses. I agree in most things with @akbogert ... i love her and i like all the new cool things they're giving her, but personally i don't believe she's being well written in this reboot... most of the time. That's because i really don't like Lobdell, but that's another story.

But i also agree that Starfire's costumes have always being revealing and that's okay. It's part of who she is. But it's really annoying when a writer misinterprets a confident female with fanservise. The difference can be a tiny line, but it's there. As long as they respect that line, i'm okay.

Kinda disagree with you here. Just because she is back to her old costume, doesn't mean that whatever progression has takes place is gone. For me it doesn't really matter what she wears but how she is written. If she is written good, does it really matter what she is wearing?

I like how you think. The problem is that thing on her breast..... i want to think like you, but it's silly and it's there, defying nature >:c it's kind of hard to ignore.

thes pace suit is boring and generic. i would have just tweaked her first suit to make it acceptable

These all look great. Definitely excited. The ones that look most interesting to me are Batman, Batwing, and RHATO (both the annual and #20).

When I saw the cover to 'Tec, my first thought was "since when did Beast cross over from Marvel?"

On a side note: I really like Starfire's new look.

I agree with you

@Stronger: I believe Dick doesn't fit. He's different, he's his own persona, his own hero...He works as a replacement perhaps, but only temporary. And honestly? i can't see somebody else in Batman shoes. Perhaps because i'm fan of Batman, but it's not just the hero... it's the person behind the mask too. I know he can't live forever, but... just can't see someone else :/ Just my opinion

@redhoodnet: Holy Crap I just noticed this but Snyder Took another Cue From Morrison Run. (Batman And Son to Batman And Robin Must Die) Joker Gets Part of his face mangled ie(Shot In the forehead) and undergoes a new transformation and then disapears for an extended period of time. He Final Resurfaces later with a dark new Persona.

Yup Court of Owls and DOTF are like RIP split apart, made overly simplistic and re written with more issues.

This is correct. The bold in particular.

The main difference of Batman R.I.P. and The Court of Owls is that Batman rip is a complete SH!T.

The Court of Owls was epic.

WHAT WHAT???

Batman RIP was an amazing culmination of 2+ years of Batman all coming together and revealing one big master plan that had been hidden below the surface.

Court of Owls was the culmination of Scott Snyder trying to convince us that owls had been running Gotham for years but had never once been seen before because they were so badass but they were all poisoned within 10 minutes and died because they weren't really that bad ass...

And this is correct.

Elaborate on this.

Batman R.I.P whole story was dumb.

Batman becomes the Batman of Zur En Arch,to save Jezebel..........This is dumb.....

Doctor Hurt who claims to be Thomas Wayne, together with Bruce's girlfriend etc. tried to bury Bruce alive, not to kill him,but make him their mindless slave.(How lame is that?)

After a big explosion,Batman ends up as a hostage of Daskeid, whom shoots with a radion bullet before he died by his Omega Beams.....

And after all this Bruce Wayne was brought back from the dead.....(IMO since they killed Bruce, they should have kept him dead until the New 52 reboot, and Dick Grayson should be the next Batman).

This is unrealistic and lame.

The Court of Owls was way better.Darker and more realistic story, and plus the art was fantastic.

I know, totally out of place, but :/ ....I'm gonna say just one thing... NEVER!
