Well it's always fun with both Transformers and GI Joe and other franchises, mainly because of toys, shows and other rights. If they already have a trademark or rights to use the name and it hasn't ran out, then they reuse it in the comics or new shows/movies so they can make a new toy, and they will reuse names for "new" characters.

For most of the characters I've edited so far if they appear in the same continuity with the same name then I have made a second page. As for Strongarm from what I can research so far she is legitimately a different character as their is mention of both a Female and Male version in one of the Animated continuities. As for Fixit he is completely different than the original but similar as well so kinda a tough one. For Fracture she was in the Movie comics, so seems like a reuse of the name for the new Animated series. I'll keep going as I have for now.

What is the rule for characters that undergo a sex change in later versions. Primarily I'm talking about Transformers. Hasbro/IDW has a tendency to reuse character names a create a similar character from them later to prevent losing their rights to toys, tv, media, books, comics, etc. So far this wiki has followed the rule of thumb to just combine these characters into the same page unless there is a distinct enough difference as alternate versions. What would be considered distinct enough? Original was an Autobot, the new is a Decepticon, or even the original was a full size version and the new is a mini-con (Fixit). Another example is with Strongarm who is now female vs. the original Strongarm who was male, or Fracture who was female and F1 race-car from the movie continuity vs. the Fracture in RID who is a male motorcycle.

This announcement means we probably won't see backwards compatibility. Then again I think I'm near the end so should probably just finish it on 360.

Move Marvel Graphic Novel #38 - Silver Surfer: Judgment Day to Silver Surfer: Judgement Day per indicia and delete Marvel Graphic Novel #34 - Cloak & Dagger: Predator & Prey, unless we are going to go by the blurb that's on the page using the overstreet convention.
