You have just described the majority of people that I know. I'm slowly forcing them to read Scott Snyder's current run. It stops me from using blunt force trauma whenever one of the "I LOVE BATMAN." conversations happens.

@DarthShap: I don't think that the coincidence, invention or 'came out of nowhere' argument can be used in this case. We are in a post-Flashpoint world, as you know, and NOTHING, is established besides key elements of the characters and their personalities, in the most part at least. The Court may not have existed in pre-New 52, but they always have in the New 52.

We can't look towards the past in the case of this story.

I realise that I sound like a Snyder fanboy, which I am, but it needs to be clear that in this continuity, they are not coincidences but rather facets of the New 52 Batman timeline.

I'll get the usual books that I get (Batman, Batman & Robin, Nightwing, RHTO, Batgirl, Batwing etc.) and with a one issue only addition of The Dark Knight.

There were a series of forum threads a short period of time before the DC Message Boards were closed. I've linked them in the blog post.

From what I've seen, we still don't really know if this was a simple prank, or if it carries weight. The user that apparently ran it found a 'loophole', which I find far fetched. We'll see once we read The Curse of Shazam if any of this info is valid.

Not exactly new at this stage, but I said I would say a proper hello to all of you anyway. I'm gonna be active enough over the next while. I plan on being a devout to the Pandora wikia page since I find her character very interesting, and also write a few reviews. Hopefully you won't get annoyed by my cynicism.

It's interesting, because we are seeing a very godly side to the New DCU. We have these high concepts of the Circle of Eternity, and the Three Sinners (Pandora, Phantom Stranger and based on the viral campaign, Shazam), and then we have mentions of the Spectre.

It seems that we have these entities that are acutely aware of what Pandora caused, or did (I'm between arguments as to whether she rewrote reality or she just led the Flash to during Flashpoint), and I find that very interesting.

I would say we'll be seeing the Spectre very, very soon, given the urgency suggested by Phantom Stranger.

Heh, bud, that's all Pre-Flashpoint. We don't have a clue if any of that matters any more.

Batman.

1) I cannot pull of red, blue and yellow.

2) There would be no challenge in being Superman.

3) I think it would be much more of an accomplishment to achieve what Batman has achieved.

4) I'm cynical as is.

5) I said I was Batman when I was drunk this one time, so I'm Batman. Nuff' said.

6) I'm also wearing a Dark Knight belt at the time of posting. So yeah.

Personally, I believe he is part of the team to act as counter-point to the other characters. Many of them are symbols of inspiration and empowerment, but he is none of these. He acts as a means of contrast within any story arcs he is involved in, which is very vital. He also sees sides to things which the other characters may not, and while it did not act in his favour in the Pre-Flashpoint Universe (See Tower of Babel), he had the common sense to have counter measures against each of the JLA members if they went rogue.

Also, I would argue that we don't know if the interactions he has had with JLA in the past correspond with the interactions we will see in the coming months.

And he killed Darkseid in the Pre-Flashpoint Universe. Nuff' said.

It's early days yet, but I think it is necessary for Batman to be on the team.
