Through sheer will power and determination, Hal has established an impressive record of heroism across the galaxy with the help of his fellow Green Lanterns as well as his peers in the Justice League.

  • Having discovered his mother murdered and his father blamed for the act, forensic scientist Barry Allen sought to clear his father's name and find the real killer. After being doused in chemicals and struck by lightning, Barry was granted the gift of super-speed. Now he protects his hometown of Central City as The Flash, the fastest man alive and founding member of the Justice League.

  • The son of an Atlantean queen and a lighthouse keeper from the town of Amnesty Bay, Arthur Curry would grow up to become the superhero Aquaman, and later take on his birthright as the King of Atlantis. He is a founding member of the Justice League and is among DC Comics' most recognized heroes.

  • Sole survivor of the Martian people, J'onn J'onzz was teleported to Earth decades ago by Dr. Saul Erdel. Since then, he has adopted Earth as his new home, playing many roles over his time with humanity: detective, secret agent, explorer, and even a pillar of the Justice League.

  • Half man, half machine - all hero! After a near fatal incident, Victor Stone was cybernetically enhanced by his father. He now possesses the ability to communicate, manipulate, and interface with nearly all forms of technology. As he is constantly upgrading, he promises to defend the future from any threat. He is also a founding member of both, the Justice League and the Teen Titans.

  • As the first Robin, Dick Grayson was the most famous sidekick in all of fiction. As he ventured forth on his own, he formed the Teen Titans and became their leader. When the boy became a man, he became the independent hero known as Nightwing.

  • Starting as a Wonder Woman doppelgänger and later sidekick, Donna Troy grew up to become an essential part of the Wonder Woman mythos and a pivotal member of the original Teen Titans. Reinvented in the New 52 as the misguided "perfect Amazon", created by a vengeful former friend of Hippolyta's to take away the Amazonian throne from Wonder Woman.

  • Kara Zor-El is Superman's cousin and last survivor of Krypton's Argo City. She has a brash and defiant personality that she developed in response to the destruction of Krypton. Currently, she is operating out of National City alongside the D.E.O.

  • Formerly an architect, social activist, and U.S. Marine sniper, John Stewart was selected by the Guardians of the Universe to be one of the Green Lanterns for Sector 2814. His distinguished service in the Corps has resulted in a place among the Oan Honor Guard and the position of chief trainer for new Lantern recruits.

  • Struck by the same lightning bolt that turned his uncle Barry Allen into the Flash, Wallace Rudolph "Wally" West took the name Kid Flash and became Barry's sidekick and the member of the Teen Titans. Eventually, Wally became the Flash to honor his uncle's memory, who died saving the Universe. He also became a member of the Justice League. He married a woman named Linda Park and had two kids, Jai and Iris West II. Currently, Wally was pulled from the Speed Force by Barry and is one of two fastest men alive.

  • Oliver Queen was a spoiled, thrill-seeking playboy, until he was left stranded on a deserted island for several years. There, he trained to become a master archer in order to survive. After his return home, he used his new-found skills and his wealth to became the costumed vigilante known as Green Arrow.

  • Green Arrow's first sidekick Speedy, and later Arsenal, and then Red Arrow, Roy Harper has grown to become one of the most accomplished marksmen in the DC Universe. Roy now goes by the name Arsenal once more.

  • Dinah Lance was born into a family of crime fighters; her mother was a vigilante and her father is a cop. She grew up with the company of heroes, and after years of training, followed in her parent's footsteps by assuming the costume, identity, and legacy of her mother Dinah Drake, the Black Canary.

  • Formerly warrior Princess Koriand'r of the now-destroyed planet Tamaran, Starfire found a new home on Earth and a new family in the Teen Titans. She was once romantically involved with Dick Grayson, and often dealt with hostilities from her older sister Blackfire. Starfire has also served with many other teams such as the Outsiders, Justice League, R.E.B.E.L.S. and Jason Todd's Outlaws.

  • Raven battles the forces of evil alongside her adoptive family, the Teen Titans, while trying to control her baser, antagonistic instincts she inherited from her demonic father, Trigon.

  • The classically green-skinned member of the The Teen Titans, Beast Boy has the power to transform into any creature of any size.

  • Both he and his cousin, also named Wally after their great grandfather, were struck by lightning and infused with the Speed Force. This Wally is the new Kid Flash.

  • Jay Garrick is the original, Golden Age, super-speedster, and was the first to have the mantle of the Flash and a founder of the Justice Society of America. It was Jay Garrick's legendary heroics that inspired Barry Allen.

  • Alan Scott, the bearer of the mystical Starheart, is the original Golden Age Green Lantern and a founding member of the Justice Society of America. An all-time great, Alan continues to fight for truth, justice and freedom well into old age as a member of the Justice Society. He has now been introduced as an iconic gay character in DC's new reboot, The New 52.

  • Carter Hall, now infused with the mysterious Nth Metal, is granted flight, strength and a living armor. He battles dangerous threats, both alien and mystical, as the savage Hawkman.

  • Hawkgirl is the reincarnated spirit of Chay-Ara. Born on Thanagar, she gained the rank of lieutenant in her world and was subsequently sent to Earth on a mission, but during her stay, she grew to love Earth and care for its inhabitants, eventually becoming known to the people as the superheroine Hawkgirl.

  • While in Mesopotamia with his father, Sven Nelson, the famed archaeologist Kent unwittingly awoke Nabu from suspended animation by releasing Nabu a poisonous gas was released, killing Kent's father but leaving him unharmed. Nabu took pity on Kent, where he erased Kent's memory of his father and raised Kent as his apprentice, making him become Doctor Fate, Sorcerer Supreme of Earth.

  • The Spectre is a supernatural being of near-unlimited might whose mission is to unleash the Wrath of God upon evil men. He is always bound to the soul of a deceased human. Three humans have been bound to the Spectre during the modern age, with Jim Corrigan being its current host.

  • A medical doctor who lost his sight, Dr. Pieter Cross can see spectrums of light in total darkness. He works with the JSA to train the heroes of tomorrow, as well as to use his medical knowledge for unusual cases.

  • Rex Tyler uses Miraclo to gain powers for one hour.

  • When Johnny Thunder speaks the words Cei - U (pronounced Say You) he has total control over a genie - like Thunderbolt for one hour. (The Thunderbolt has more brains than Johnny).

  • Yz is a fifth-dimensional djinn. It found itself to be in the Thunderbolt pen, a device used by Johnny and JJ Thunder each to make themselves, "superheroes".

  • Pro-boxing star Ted Grant, inspired by stories of The Green Lantern, became a superhero to clear his name. Wildcat has served as a mentor to many younger heroes including Batman and Black Canary.

  • Barbara Gordon was the first modern age Batgirl until she was brutally shot by the Joker, rendering her paralyzed from the waist down. Barbara reinvented herself as Oracle, providing intelligence to the DCU heroes and leading the Birds of Prey. She has recently become Batgirl once again to protect Gotham City.

  • Jason Todd was the second Robin, but was brutally murdered by the Joker. After he was resurrected, Jason learned Batman did nothing to avenge his death. Anguished and seeking vengeance, he initially turned against his mentor and took on the Clown Prince's former identity: the Red Hood. Eventually coming back to the Bat-Family and assembling a team of anti-heroes known as the Outlaws (New 52 and Rebirth), Jason once again fights for justice...on his own terms.

  • At the age of nine, Timothy Drake cleverly deduced the identities of Batman and Robin. Four years later, after the death of Jason Todd, Tim convinced Batman that he should be the new Robin. Eventually resigning from the role, he is now Red Robin, leader of the Teen Titans.

  • Stephanie Brown is the Cluemaster's daughter. She becomes the Spoiler to "spoil" her father's criminal plots, and dated Tim Drake while he was Robin. Steph temporarily becomes Robin when Tim is forced to quit by his father. Later, she briefly resumes being Spoiler before Cassandra Cain decides to pass her the mantle of Batgirl. In the New 52 and Rebirth, she's back to being The Spoiler.

  • Tempest (formerly Aqualad) was Aquaman's sidekick, founding member of the Teen Titans and a resident of Atlantis. He is the second physically strongest Atlantean.

  • An android created by the supervillian T.O. Morrow to infiltrate the Justice Society of America. The android has since become a noble superhero and member of the Justice League.

  • The daughter of Shado and half-sister of Green Arrow, and the new Red Arrow.

  • The Chief is a wheelchair bound genius who formed the Doom Patrol.

  • Cassandra Sandsmark was originally the daughter of Olympian God Zeus and Dr. Helena Sandsmark. She became the second Wonder Girl in an attempt to save Wonder Woman's life. Cassie continues adventuring as a member of the Teen Titans. Her New 52 incarnation is the daughter of Wonder Woman's half-brother Lennox, and derives her powers from an ancient armor named the 'Silent Armor' related to the demon Trigon.

  • Kon-El/Conner Kent is a human/Kryptonian hybrid clone and was created to be the ultimate living weapon.

  • Originally thought to be chosen by chance, Ganthet chose Kyle Rayner because he had the ability to harness the powers of the emotional spectrum. Once the Torchbearer of the Green Lantern Corps, Kyle graduated to the role Ganthet had intended for him: the White Lantern. After the White Ring is separated into seven rings, Kyle returns to being a Green Lantern Corpsman.

  • The alternate version of Supergirl from Earth-2, Kara Zor-L is more mature and experienced than her Earth-0 counterpart. The best friend of Batman's Earth-2 daughter, Huntress, she operates as one of her Earth's greatest heroes.

  • Ray Palmer is a scientist superhero––and longtime Justice League member––who devised a means of miniaturization through dwarf star matter technology. From the Microverse to the greater world, he fights for good as the mighty Atom!

  • Ryan Choi was a gifted student of Ray Palmer at Ivy University, and eventually took up the mantle of the Atom in his mentor's absence.

  • Guy Gardner started out as the backup Green Lantern for Hal Jordan. He has since become one of the most prominent Green Lanterns of the Corps, despite possessing an egocentric personality. He has recently deserted his Green Power Ring in favor of the Red Ring of rage. Guy's will and rage are some of the most impressive in the entire Emotional Spectrum.

  • John Constantine, the Hellblazer, is a working-class magician, occult detective and a golden-tongued con man. He is well-known for his scathing wit, endless cynicism, ruthless cunning and constant chain smoking. A roguish counterculture anti-hero, Constantine is also a strident humanist driven by a heartfelt desire to defend mankind from the forces of evil.

  • The daughter of John Zatara, Zatanna is a powerful magician who casts spells by speaking backwards and works as both a stage performer and a member of the Justice League of America (presently Justice League Dark).

  • Imra Ardeen is a founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th and 31st centuries under the code name Saturn Girl. Though all of the inhabitants of her homeworld of Titan are telepaths, Imra's telepathy ranks among the strongest of her race. Saturn Girl is the first ever female character to lead a super-team in comic book history.

  • Cosmic Boy is a native of Braal with the ability to control electromagnetic fields. He is a founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.

  • Sleazy thief Patrick "Eel" O'Brien was saved by Batman from an acid vat. This vat gave him the powers to bend his body into any imaginable form. He stands today as the comedian in any team he's in. Beneath his joking exterior, he is a valuable asset in any situation.

  • Damian Wayne is the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul. Trained by the League of Assassins all his life, Damian joined his father’s side in the war against crime by becoming the fifth Robin.

  • Originally a composite being, Firestorm had power over fire and heat, and could alter the atomic structure of objects. As of "The New 52" multiple Firestorms exist and Ronnie and Jason as individual Firestorms can combine to create Fury, a giant walking nuclear reactor.

  • Named after the angel of death, Jean-Paul Valley was an agent of the Sacred Order of Saint Dumas. Jean-Paul becomes a more independent crime fighter after acting as Batman for a time.

  • A stretchy private eye and a long time member of the Justice League. His nose will twitch when something's amiss!

  • Hailing from the 30th century, Bart Allen is the grandson of the Flash, Barry Allen and Iris Allen. Originally using the name Impulse and trained by Max Mercury, Bart utilizes the same powers of super-speed possessed by his grandfather and fights crime alongside the Teen Titans, know as Kid Flash and Wally West's sidekick.

  • Garth Ranzz is one of the three original members/founders, of the Legion, of Super-Heroes. Empowered, with the ability, to control electricity, he is called Lightning Lad. Garth is, the twin brother of fellow legionnaire Lightning Lass, and the younger brother, of Lightning Lord.

  • Ayla Ranzz is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes and the twin sister of Lightning Lad. Ayla's powers have alternated between electricity generation (Lightning Lass) and gravity nullification (Light Lass) throughout her history as a Legionnaire.

  • Brainiac 5 is a long-standing member of the Legion of Super-Heroes with a 12th level intelligence and force-field belt. He is an expert on the science of time-travel (and many other things).

  • Helena Bertinelli, born into one of Gotham's mafia families, became a spy and vigilante, destroying those that had killed her family. As a key member of the Birds of Prey, she has moved toward brutal, but non-lethal methods for fighting crime.

  • Rex Mason was transformed into Metamorpho after he was exposed to the light of an ancient meteor while on an expedition to find the Orb of Ra for industrialist Simon Stagg.

  • A superb samurai, she uses her deadly sword, The Soultaker, to fight evil around the world. The mystic sword contains the soul of every person killed by it and Katana can communicate with those souls. She is currently a member of the Suicide Squad.

  • Carol used to be a pilot, but, after her father retired, she gave it up to run the family business (Ferris Air, a company in Coast City that makes aircraft). She hired her childhood friend, Hal Jordan, as a test pilot. Soon after Hal became a Green Lantern, Carol found herself possessed by a Star Sapphire gem. The gem gave her power, but also altered her personality when used. After the formation of the Star Sapphire Corps however, Carol has been able to remain herself and act as a hero.

  • Kilowog is the Green Lantern of Space Sector 674. He is also the Green Lantern Corps drill sergeant.

  • Krypto is Superman's Kryptonian dog. He possesses all of the sun-borne abilities of his master, as well as super-canine intelligence.He is also known for being a sort of sidekick to Superboy becoming his companion after Superman saw he had no time to give to the very social canine. He has also appeared in his own cartoon series.

  • Humiliated in his own time-period, the 25th century, Michael Jon Carter stole future technology and a security robot named Skeets and traveled back into the 20th century to become the greatest hero you've never heard of: Booster Gold!

  • Ted Kord was the second person to become the Blue Beetle. Deprived of the scarab that empowered his predecessor, Ted was forced to rely on his superior athleticism, fighting prowess, and technological genius to combat crime. He died a hero at the hands of Maxwell Lord.

  • Beatriz da Costa was bequeathed her green flame powers by Brazilian mysticism. She started her super-hero career in the Global Guardians. She has been a long time member of the Justice League in various incarnations, and is best known for her friendships/partnerships with fellow league members Tora (Ice) and Sigrid (Ice Maiden).

  • Shape-shifting alien from the planet Durla and member of the Legion of Super-Heroes.

  • Inspired by Superman, John Henry Irons mimicked his powers with technology. However, his greatest powers are his heart, mind, and determination.

  • Botanist Alec Holland became the avatar of the Green, known as the Swamp Thing, following his death in a swamp as a result of a horrific accident. With the ability to control any form of plant life, Swamp Thing uses his powers to protect both the human and the plant worlds.

  • One of the most notorious of Hell's demons, Etrigan's soul was merged with the body of a human man, Jason Blood, who calls upon the demon's terrifying power to fight the forces of darkness.

  • Deemed worthy of becoming the champion of the ancient Wizard Mamaragan, whenever he utters the word "Shazam", young Billy Batson is struck by a magical thunderbolt and gains vast divine powers and abilities, transforming him into Magic's Champion, the World's Mightiest Mortal, Shazam!

  • Freddie Freeman is foster brother of Billy Batson and one of the holders of the power of SHAZAM.

  • She is the twin sister of Billy Batson, Earth's mightiest mortal Shazam. By uttering the name of the wizard Shazam, Mary is granted the powers of the Biblical Solomon and the five Olympian Gods, becoming Mary Marvel.

  • Jefferson Michael Pierce aka Black Lightning, is a teacher and former Olympic Gold Medal-winning athlete. He fights crime, using his electrokinetic powers.

  • Lar Gand was an explorer from the planet Daxam who sacrificed himself to save Earth. Lar, whom came to be known as Mon-El, was a member of the Justice League and friend of Superman in the modern era and is a member of the Legion of Superheroes in the future.

  • Ultra Boy is a member and former leader of The Legion Of Super-Heroes. Having most of Superboy's powers, but using them one at a time only. His Penetra Vision can see thru lead. (unlike X-Ray vision.) His invulnerability Has shown to be more adaptable than either that of Superboy or Mon-El.

  • Mera of Xebel is an Atlantean and famous love interest and wife of Aquaman. She hails from the penal colony of Xebel in the Bermuda Triangle of Atlantean exiles and was tasked with the mission to kill the King of Atlantis before she abandoned her quest when she met and fell in love with Aquaman. Mera has been at Aquaman's side ever since proving to be his most valuable partner in battle and in life.

  • The son of Highfather, Scott Free was traded as an infant for Darkseid's child, Orion, to end the war between the New Gods of Apokolips and New Genesis. Scott later fled to Earth where he took on the mantle of Mister Miracle, and is considered the greatest escape artist in the universe. He is the husband of former Female Fury, Big Barda.

  • Bred for battle on the hellish world of Apokolips, Big Barda became one of her world's greatest warriors and served as the leader of Darkseid's personal guard, the Female Furies. Eventually Barda found love, and fled Apokolips with her future husband, Mr. Miracle. Barda has since made Earth her primary home and has served as member of the Justice League.

  • Current bearer of the Starman legacy, teenager Courtney Whitmore, serves as a valued member of the Justice League United.

  • After being murdered by the League of Assassins during a performance, circus acrobat Boston Brand was turned into a ghost by the Hindu goddess Rama Kushna. Becoming the superhero Deadman, Boston must aid the people he possesses to avoid eternity in Hell. He is currently part of Justice League Dark.

  • The Crimson Fox was the identity for twins Vivian and Constance D'Aramis. They emulated Batman and became Le Renarde Rousee, or the Crimson Fox to avenge their parents death.

  • Nathaniel Adam was coerced into an experiment which bonded alien metal to his skin and sent him 18 years into the future, giving birth to Captain Atom, a superhero fueled by the Quantum Field.

  • Born with a partial strand of the original Batman's DNA, Terry McGinnis was a reformed juvenile delinquent who stole the Batman suit to avenge the murder of his father. Under Wayne's guidance, Terry became The Tomorrow Knight of futuristic Neo-Gotham: Batman Beyond.

  • The future son of John Stewart and Shayera Hol, Rex Stewart is a member of the Justice League Unlimited. He is a loyal warrior who follows without question.

She is the only member of her race with the ability to pass through the Phantom Zone and onto Earth. She is a long-time member of the Legion of Super-Heroes under the code name Phantom Girl.

  • A character from the Golden-Age of Comics. Founding member of the Justice Society of America and a bright detective. Using a gas mask and a pistol with sleeping gas, Wesley Dodds become the Sandman, a vigilante who makes the criminals fall asleep.

  • A sci-fi character that started during the 50s has held true to the traditions of the typical sci-fi hero archetype with a love story. Adam Strange is also Life's thinker of the Aberrant Six.

  • After being dismissed from the military for being a lesbian, Kate Kane lived a directionless party-girl heiress life until, on a dark night, a chance encounter with Batman inspired her to find a new calling in life, later adopting the mantle of Batwoman.
