I think that, for most of us, plot occurs naturally. The challenge is to make your readers care as much as your protagonist. So whether it is developing your world, supporting characters, or something else try to make us care about the world as much as your character does.

I would really appreciate it if people who read this regularly would just check in once to let me know who is lurking. Also, should I post issues on this thread or put them on the blog?

I really agree with this. I thought for a split second that maybe the heart would work. I think you are crafting something unique here.

I would love to see "outside the window" a bit more. I was really intrigued by the world outside. I always enjoy the part of a story where I get a peek at the larger world and letting the characters consider the world they live in gives us a greater understanding of them.
