Is an embarrassment what the new 52 has done with Nightwing, this event in particularly , beyond that it was uninspired, it took forever and everybody knew who the guy in the hood was.

Dick would be lucky if he is dead.

imma give my opinion about the relationship of the robins correlating to Bruce in the new 52. Grayson = Little Brother Brother Todd = adopted Son Drake = partner Damien = biological son

I kind of hate this post. Todd is an adopted son and Tim is just a partner? Really?

Ugh.

That sounds like the valentine issue, different stories without connection.

I fail to get excited, interest or even curious for another origin story by Higgins?! That's Zero Year, how many chances at telling the same story is Higgins going to get?

But hey, maybe this time Krypton won't blow up, Kara won't get frozen and the rope won't snap.....

@munsu: I guess he isn't going to be part of the batfamily anymore.... because, you know, he isn't isolated enough.

And looking at the originality Higgins is using in this book, Dick isn't just going to be stuck in Chicago, he still going to bestuck fighting Zucco.

@jayaaerow: argue he does what? Get his ass handed to him for everyone he encounters? Well yes he does.

And while I don't think Higgins is a bad writer, he has been terrible for the character. He destroyed Dick's home at Haley's. He sent Dick to live in an orphanage destroying his connection to Bruce without giving him independence in the process. He has him stuk in the past without friends or future, just now he said Dick wouldn't be a leader in the new 52.

I'm almost at the point of wishing Dick would had ended in Limbo with Donna and Wally.

@thesonofneptune101: Is not speculation. Dick IS the appointed punching bag.

As speculation goes you have that there would be a new hero saving Gotham so is not going to be Nightwing. That Lex is going to form a resistance, so is not Nightwing leading anyone, oh but wait Owlman has an interest in Dick so with a little luck he is going to be used as a foil to tell Owlman story. Great.

All Forever Evil as done is isolate him even more and put him in the role of the damsel in distress. If the bright side is the hope that it would change, there's not a bright side.

@thesonofneptune101: Nightwing is the apointed punching bag in forever evil. That's it.

Anf this list is very depressing, a bunch of "maybes", "maybe he could have his own rogue galery", "maybe he would stay in Chicago"... that is was the new 52 brought to Nightwing, unfulfilled possibilities. There's no bright side to the new 52 in sight.

Why is Nightwing Zero more expensive than the others tie-in, it doesn't bring anything extra, is just random.

O_o ....ok that doesn't make sense. You said Dick was selfish because he waned justice for his parents, then his motivation is not that but he still is selfish because he cares but he doesn't "care". Dick was a cop, a curator, could go back to the circus, he can do other things. He was even Batman when he didn't want to be Batman because Batman was needed for others.

And I guess Jason was being compassionate when Blüdhaven blown up and he forced Bruce to keep fighting him and moked the possibility that Dick had died, right?

To be honest I have no idea what motivates Dick, I think he looks for balance I think he is a protector, what is the force behind that I'm not sure but the idea that is some form of greed is absurd. I think Jason is an angry dude, he always have a reason for his rage but there was nothing compasionate in is rage toward Bruce I think he is a punisher, that doesn't mean he isn't compassionate, but that's not what moves him.
