1) I have a slight problem with the whole Damien-as-old-Batman-in-Batman-Beyond thing.  If you've ever seen the Justice League animated series, there's an episode where Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Batman all accidentally go forward in time, 50 years to be exact, and meet Terry McGinnis as Batman and Bruce Wayne as his mentor.  If the writers did decide to go with that scenario, they would have to deal with the original series being only 50 years into the future, and would have to change it to a further time, in order to make Damien an old man.  I don't know if they would want to change the original series that much or not, but just a thought.

2) My future batman: I would go with the Damien Wayne as Batman scenario, but add some other characters, like Dick Grayson (if he's even alive still), Tim Drake, Selina Kyle, Huntress, or someone else from the Bat Family form a resistance against Damien.  Because frankly, if the guy who calls himself  Batman is killing people, he ain't Batman, and I don't think there will ever be a better Batman than Bruce Wayne.  Since Damien was already a killer when he went to Batman, it makes sense that he would hold on to some of his old beliefs.  Dick, Tim, and the others I don't think would ever conform to Damien's messed up agenda.  They may even recruit new superheros to help them protect Gotham as well as combat Damien.

I've heard several different theories about when Bruce's birthday is. Does anyone have a solid date from a contemporary comic?? Let me know what you think!
Here's some theories/ old birthdates:

  • February 19th (from an old superhero calender apparently).
  • May 27, 1939 ( from Detective Comics #27 when Batman was 'born')
  • Sometime in October (according to Bruce in 'The Batman')
  • Sometime in November (according to Frank Miller)

@Multiverse:  yes, realistically a child hero wouldn't have the judgement or ability to handle stressful situations that a trained and mentally able adult would have. But, from an emotional stand point, Bruce Wayne took on Dick Grayson as his sidekick to help him deal with the trauma of losing his parents and to avenge them. With Jason Todd, it was to keep his destructive streak in check and make it constructive power, which didn't really work out. With Tim Drake, Batman had gotten into his reckless tendencies b/c he didn't have a Robin, since Jason was dead. Tim convinced him he needed a Robin to really function as Batman.

I don't know if you could say he's mentally perfect, at least not anymore. Realistically, all the torture, brainwashing, memory loss, concussions, and times of insanity Batman he endured would leave him mentally scarred, to say the least. Now physically, the infamous broken back incident with Bruce Wayne as Batman and Bane has gotten him in some bad situations.  So, if you're being true to life (not that comic books ever are), then at least Bruce Wayne and probably Dick Grayson too aren't in perfect physical and mental shape.

HELP!! I'm new to batman comics and am seriously confused! I'm trying to read all six of his comics, but I don't understand if the stories i'm reading are taking place in the present, past, etc. Could someone explain to me when each comic takes place? Also, is Bruce Wayne back to the present time yet or not?? I really need help! 0_0
