Powers, Abilities, Enhancements:
Mutant Abilities: Venatoria was born with a mouth full of thick, vicious fangs, preventing her from living any kind of normal life. Many of her innate powers are consumption-based, resulting firstly in an immense metabolism. She runs hot, heals quickly, and appears to have an impressive supply of energy -- however, she must feed very frequently, and can only sustain a carnivorous diet. Because she processes bodily acids, hormones, and other chemicals more quickly, she develops muscles very rapidly, leading to remarkable strength and speed.
Perhaps most important is Venatoria's ability to absorb powers through the consumption of flesh. She has a slight addiction to the meat of inhuman individuals and can replicate their abilities or otherwise increase her strength by feeding from them, whether she manages to tear away some flesh, or even just a bit of blood.
Skills: Unable to join normal schools, Lampetra Cervantes was cast to the sewers of Madrid as a very small child, where she met a blind, leprous Spanish swordsman calling himself El Matador Enfermo. Unable to see the girl's freakish, lamprey-like fangs and assuming her to be mute, he took her in and taught her how to fight with blades, eventually dying when Lampetra was fifteen years old. Leaving the sewers, she began to stalk and hunt through the city above, returning to its underbelly during the day. Within a few months, she became known as a feral ghost that fed on the living by night -- and was given the name Venatoria.
When she was seventeen, Lampetra was found by a Wetwork Agency based in Italy, known as the Legionnaires. Hearing of the mysterious specter looming beneath Madrid, they sought the girl out and brought her, kicking and screaming, to their base in Rome. There, she was trained further, given an acceptable, if limited, formal education, and fashioned into the weapon she was born to be. It was also in Rome where she was given her... enhancements.
A rare glimpse at Venatoria's fangs.Tampering: Upon her nineteenth birthday, Lampetra's training was considered a success, and she was introduced to the finalphase of her creation. Her bones were laced with "nano-bronze," the liquid, bone-like metal being injected into her body and immediately bonding with her skeleton, including her horrendous fangs. This increases her durability, rendering her bones nearly indestructible by anything wielding less force than twenty tons. It also renders her bite toxic, and finally, the bonding, seeking properties of nano-bronze allow her to summon her pair of specially-crafted bladed sai, forged from a similar material that appears to be magnetically attracted to the substance lacing Venatoria's core.
Where Is She Now?:
Shortly after her unwilling "enhancements," which she perceived as a betrayal of her dignity and an insult to her natural talents, Lampetra left the Legionnaires (murdering and consuming twelve of their number in the process) and fled to North America. She currently operates as an agent and assassin for The Doghouse, attempting to rebuild her reputation as the Venatoria from the ground up.
