I also feel Mercy Graves needs a come back, as well as a good background story.

In a funny way, the Watcher was like the doctor, from the way you look at it.

MY Overall view of Spider-Man's love life:

Betty Brant: was the older type (by older, I mean four years older going by Spectacular Spider-Man) and emotional train reck from the Untold Tales of Spider-Man stories.

Liz Allen: Who loved him because Betty was in love with her, but that passed and her feelings became real, however because of differences in their levels of social acceptance kept them apart.

Gwen Stacy: Peter's first true love, nice, sweet and innocent.

Debra Whitman: For awhile they started dating, however things kept coming up in his secret life as Spider-Man and he kept giving her excuses to get out of the date. Because of Peter's rejections, she started to date Biff Rifkin for emotional support, but her infatuation with Peter did nothing but grow.

Mary Jane Watson: The wild party girl, who has loved Peter since they first met.

Felicia Hardy (Black Cat): Doesn't think much of Peter, but loves his superhero identity, Spider-Man.

Kitty Pryde Ultimate Version: Kitty help bring out the best in Ultimate Spider-Man in both Peter and Spidey, but he just still had feelings for Mary Jane.

I've always been split between Gwen & MJ, but if I were to choose one it would be, Gwen.

Honorary Mentions (from the cartoon shows):

Firestar (from Spider-Man & his Amazing Friends): What started out as a character created for the show because producers fear Human Torch would cause kids to lite themselves on fire, would turnout to be the first character from a comic book based cartoon show to become part of the comic book universe.

Mona Osborn (from Spider-Man & his Amazing Friends): A made for the show character who seems to be nothing like her like family, but in the first episode, "The Triumph of the Green Goblin", Mona would've been more in common with her Cousin and Uncle, if not for Spider-Man stopping Green Goblin from turning her into a Goblin. Mona appeared in another episode called, "The Quest of the Red Skull", where she was out with Peter, but when he had to become Spider-Man he dumped her on Flash Thompson, in the end of the episode she started to like Flash because of this.

Alisa Silver (from The 90's Spider-Man cartoon): Another character created for the show Peter thought about going out with her, until he found out she was Silvermane's daughter. She only appeared in four episodes, "Tablet of Time", "Ravages of Time", "Tombstone" and "Partners".

Dr. Naoko Yamanda-Jones (from Spider-Man Unlimited): though he never actually dated her, but she did help him with the loneliness of being in another version of Earth. Yamanda is a single mother, whose a nurse and has a missing husband. (In the TV show her husband was Counter Earth Green Goblin, but in the comics about the show, it was Counter Earth Wolverine).

Indira "Indy Daimonji (from MTV's Spider-Man): Indy was an original character created just for the series, she often acted as a foil for Mary Jane and Peter's romantic interest at the Empire One Television Studio. The character showed an intense, flamboyant, and unabashed affection for Peter Parker, pursuing him publicly to MJ's consternation. Indy appeared in seven out of the thirteen episodes that aired, unfortunately for her during the final episode, the villains known as, the Gaines twins tricked Spider-Man into thinking that she was Roxanne (the female twin), Spider-Man inadvertently pushed Indy off the top of a building, putting her in a coma. How anyone can survive falling off a building is a big mystery to me though, but nevertheless this Spider-Man series had the darkest of cliffhangers ever.

Christina (from MTV's Spider-Man): Christina had a once episode appearance called, "Head over Heels". Peter was stuck with Christina as a lab partner. When the two of them were put together for one of their assignment, she showed Peter her new invention, an ESP crown, which she believes can read people’s minds. After the experiment blew up whilst she was practising on Peter, she began seeing visions of Spider-Man, and was convinced the two of them belonged together. When she realizes that Spider-Man may have feelings for MJ, Spider-Man had to stop her from killing her. After a nasty fall from an elevator, Christina was admitted to hospital believing Kwang, the Drip Den man, was actually Spider-Man.

Fun Fact: Rino Ramano the guy that played Kwang did play Spider-man in, "Spider-Man Unlimited". Christina would pick him, because her voice actress worked with him on Extreme Ghostbusters. And whats really freaky is, Tara Strong would go on to play Mary Jane in, "Ultimate Spider-Man". Spooky isn't it?

Red Claw is very interesting character. In the episode, "The Lion and the Unicorn" Red Claw did what few characters did, she unmasked Batman and saw his face, I'm sure there would've been an episode where Red Claw tries to blackmail Bruce Wayne, but will never know now. If Red Claw was brought back, I think they should give her a perfect background story.

I love this episode the best, out of all of them. Shikata may have been a replacement for Kraven, but she was so damn good. She's like Spider-Man's Elektra, but with mystic powers. The only thing I didn't like was that we didn't get to know who Shikata was, and how she got those powers of hers, maybe it was going to be explained in the next season. On dvd with commentary, I found out that Stan Lee actually liked Shikata, that may not mean much, but it should mean something to someone out there.
