Those times are behind us. Now that Peter and MJ are together again and possibly remarried in the not so far future, we can look back at less unsavory moments in Spider-Man history with less rage.
Superior Spider-Man does have redeemable qualities IMO. Like the ones I mentioned such as his doctorate, suit and new gadgets and lab. If Peter himself had achieved those things rather than as a result of the Doc Ock mind swap it would have been cool.
As for BND, I just thought that page was hilarious!
I was browsing through my Pinterest and I come across artwork for Dan Slott's Superior Spider-Man.
And I think, the Superior Spider-Man suit looks REALLY cool!
So, other than the Otto mind swap (and by extension out of character Peter to his friends and family), the non get together with Mary Jane and MJ not being able to detect it wasn't Peter and how that final issue ended about her not being able to take that life anymore, the concept of it all was pretty great.
Superior Spider-Man would have been a classic if it had been Peter who masterminded all of SpOck's developments. Getting his life together, his PhD, his Horizon Labs and Parker Industries resources, his new suits and equipment and crime fighting technology. That was all great. And being a little more aggressive and surgical in his fights rather than holding back all the time.
Oh and this picture also came up, ITS hilarious! Which BND issue is it from?
