Thedric walked nonchalantly throughout the hallways of the North Dakota Maximum Security Prison. The layout of the whole prison was easy enough to get used to, especially with the recently acquired thoughts and DNA of one of the wardens, who was conveniently sedated and locked in his closet. Thedric had taken off from Veritas Inc as soon as he had heard of Kurrent being taken into custody. He quickly left any gear, or traces of his Veritas affiliation. He needed complete secrecy. And to break Kurrent out, he needed to be inside with him.
As Thedric continued down the hall he could feel as guards were being killed left and right. Though he couldn't read the mind of the killer, he could feel that he was not normal. He almost instantly began to feel the enhanced abilities of this person flowing through him. He slowed his ascent until he was just around the corner from Kurrent's current position. He paused to listen as soon as he heard the voice of the one's mind he could not read.
“There is a helicopter waiting for you a mile away from here.. IF you can make it out of this place.. My job is done.. I’ll clear the area for you but I can’t promise I’ll get all the guards off you, I’m sure a guy like you can get himself out of here.” He heard the unknown one say. Thedric stayed as many of the guards from the surrounding area started to rush in. These men were mowed down like grass in a field before the oncoming spray of a machine gun. The next sound he heard were shots he could easily identify as Kurrent's gun, and a quick telepathic search told him that Kurrent was the one who fired them... at the one who freed him.
"This is Kurrent find my signal and why the hell did none of you come get me sooner"
"I came Kurrent" Thedric said poking his head around the corner with his normal face on. "Though it looks like someone else got here first."
