The Fiend Who Bathes In Light and Frees them from the Abyss
Abilities
I. Limitless Physical Prowess: Through her newfound bond with the Brimstone Dimension, Uma's body is flooded with an infinite supply of demonic energy that enhances her physical capabilities. One might say that she is simply "super healthy" when explaining her newfound strength in layman's terms. Her speed, strength, stamina, and durability have been enhanced to immeasurable levels; the limits of which have yet to be known and they will likely never be.
II. Supernaturally-Sharp Natural Weaponry: Uma's claws, jagged teeth, and horns have grown as sharp as they have sturdy with her exposure to demonic energy. Their ability to penetrate matter has been shown to regularly defy the laws of physics and slice through substances as impenetrable as adamantium reliably, albeit with some added elbow grease.
III. Awakened Senses: The vitality granted by the demonic energy flooding her body not only enhances Uma's physical abilities but her senses as well. She has even gained the ability to perceive objects, energies, and phenomena that exist beyond the realm of science, logic, and reason.
a. Vision: Uma's eyes have grown to seamlessly adapt to stimuli that require attention, allowing her to view microscopic particulate matter floating millimeters away from her pupils as easily as small insects hidden in grass hundreds of miles away.
b. Hearing: Uma's ears have grown wise from time spent in what most would consider hell. She is able to perceive sounds at frequencies and decibels well beyond the range of any known human or animal. She has learned to discern sounds hidden within sound and is able to attune to even the quietest of footsteps or racing breaths in a cacophony of noise.
c. Smell: Although Uma can recognize very few unusual scents, she can pick up even the faintest of chemical trails left wafting through the air to track a scent. If presented with an object carrying the scent of a desired target, and a chemical trail leading to said target exists, she will be able to track the target with little difficulty.
d. Touch: With her newfound sense of touch, Uma has developed what many might consider a form of precognition. By detecting subtle changes in air pressure caused by movement and vibrations traveling through the ground, she can sense the approach of people or objects and grow aware of their presence without having to see, hear, or smell them at all.
IV. Systemic Regeneration: The healing process of Uma's body has not only advanced like her senses and physical capabilities but evolved well beyond what she was capable of when she identified as a human. Not only do flesh wounds that would normally fully heal in days or weeks now close in seconds, but she has gained the ability to regenerate completely lost limbs in minutes. Her regenerative abilities have even grown to the point where, if decapitated, she is likely to grow another head with fewer memories than were stored in the former skull. Regeneration requires metabolic fuel, and constant regeneration could result in exhaustion and potential starvation.
V. Scale Manipulation: An evolution of the primary ability that she had relied on throughout her human life. Uma has gained the ability to alter the scale of objects, energies, and forces within her perception. Subjects bolstered by her power grow larger, denser, more intense and more potent. Subjects reduced by her power shrink and grow fragile, lighter, dimmer and ultimately less potent. The effects of scale manipulation on subjects is permanent, but may be reversed by further application of the aforementioned power.
a. Reduction Field: An almost involuntary effect produced by long-term use of her scale manipulation, Uma is coated in a field that actively seeks to reduce materials and energies that approach her body without being noticed. The field can be voluntarily controlled.
VI. Madness Inducing Aura: One of two unique abilities that exist as a new development when Uma is exposed to demonic energy, rather than an enhancement of pre-existing abilities. Uma emits a large field of psionic energy that drives both sentient and non-sentient lifeforms insane. The range of the field is large enough to cover mid-sized cities, but the effect is ultimately weak. Those with strong minds can simply resist the effects of her debilitating aura through sheer willpower alone, though outright avoiding it is practically impossible when in close proximity.
a. Madness Wave: Through experimentation with her newfound abilities in the Brimstone Dimension, Uma has learned how to control the release of her Madness Aura. By storing up the psionic energies for a short time and then releasing them upon a single target, Uma is capable of launching a psionic assault capable of shattering all but the strongest of psionic defenses and that, when measured, is comparable to an assault from an alpha-telepath. Although this attack is in no way (immediately) fatal to a target, it will render them completely insane if successful.
VII. Infernal Violation: Upon touch, Uma can imbue lifeforms with the very same demonic energy that flows through her body. Unlike her own cells that simply absorb the energy like vitamins and gain vitality, the demonic energy seeks to corrupt and mutate beings that do not share her ancestry. In layman's terms, she can turn any living creature into a monster by simply touching it.
VIII. Demonic Empathy: Uma retains the ability to bond with other infernal kin. Acting as both a weakness and a strength, most demons find themselves unable to attack her and carrying a physical attraction to her. This natural instinct is mutual, and Uma finds herself unable to strike her kin as well.
IX. Blood of the Antichrist: The single characteristic that allows Uma to fulfill her role and that gives her worth among the ranks of Hell. When compared to the other demons lying within the Brimstone Dimension, Uma is far from the most powerful. Unlike her kin, when exposed to agents of the divine and angels that weaken and kill the others, Uma is left unaffected. Although the demonic blood running through her veins binds her to her newfound people, her humanity is ultimately the source of the unique trait. When exposed to demonic energy, as she absorbs it into her cells, she converts it to a force purer; something that can bypass the defenses of the divine that protect them from the magics and powers of her fellow demons.
X. The Brand of Cerberus: The ink burnt into Uma's skin that set the fate that she now realizes. It serves as a tool to communicate with kin and resist magics and other invasive forces. When exposed to esoteric forces seek to alter being, Uma's body absorbs them and converts them into heat that burns her flesh. When not being exposed to magic, Uma can utilize the brand to speak to her kin in the Brimstone Dimension.
Skills
I. Trained Close Quarters Combatant: To enhance her herculean strength, Uma possesses a great deal of knowledge with which to properly apply her strength to strike, cripple, hold, choke and throw her opponents. Although most adversaries would find themselves overwhelmed by her strength, Uma does not rely on her strength alone in combat and often fights using the very same controlled and precise methods that she learned while serving mankind.
II. Trained Weapon Handler: Although she rarely uses the weaponry that she did as a human, Uma retains her skills with melee weapons, firearms, and some explosives. If available, Uma will not hesitate to acquire and utilize weaponry available. When used in conjunction with her scale manipulation, she could easily turn a handgun into an improvised meteor launcher or a grenade into a bomb comparable to a nuclear warhead.
III. Stealth and Infiltration Training: Uma retains her ability to move quietly and avoid detection. When used in conjunction with her scale manipulation, she can easily infiltrate facilities. Her minuscule mass and size allow her to move quietly, slip through doors and locks, and to simply pass through most sensors without providing enough stimulus to set them off.
Equipment
I. Traditional Kanabo:
The traditional weapon of the Oni. Uma received this from her lord as one of many gifts for her service. The weapon possesses only one unique trait that leads to two uses: it is completely and utterly impenetrable, incorruptible, and unbreakable. Although the Kanabo does not offer any unique offensive qualities aside from acting as a way to increase applied force, the weapon's reliability and usefulness for both offensive and defensive purposes more than make-up for it. As a secondary use, the impenetrable nature of the weapon has granted it the unique property of being able to interact with intangible objects that would otherwise pass right through.
a Empathic bond: Uma's Kanabo is linked to her soul. Regardless of its current location, she can summon the weapon into her hands through space and time on a whim. Although it is bonded with her, she can freely lend it to others and anyone with the strength to lift the weapon can use it freely without any harm done to their personal being.
II. Lightning Cutter:
A blade passed down from a fallen lover. The lightning cutter sports a blade sharpened by magic that is capable of piercing most substances. More unique to its design, when exposed to electric currents or charged particles, the blade emits a paralyzing field that works to disrupt neurological activity and bioelectricity. Although the sword is capable of serving Uma as a reliable weapon, she chooses to rarely use it. For now, decorates her side as a final memento of Uma's first and only true love.
