Definitely confused as to when all this takes place compared to Batman and Robin Eternal and Robin War. This has become more of an issue since DC decided on going story over continuity. It hasn't bothered me up to this point, because I'm really enjoying the DC lineup right now, but this left me scratching my head. In the most recent issue of Eternal Grayson takes Orphan to Spyral HQ. So Eternal is before Grayson 16. But if as someone else stated Gayson 18 will start to reflect the changes from Robin War then that will makes things line up, although that means Eternal took place before both events. I don't think we are supposed to think this much, lol. In any event, really enjoyed Robin War, can't wait to see the effects that has on this series and Dick overall. They really seem to be elevating Dick to a top level character and it's justified. Just so much to work with on this character. Awesome stuff IMHO.
Art is so subjective. I look at that art and think it looks horrible. While others think it's awesome. I do like some of the action sequences though, but overall the art is just ugly. The characters are ugly. Just don't like ugly art. This is a big pass for me.
When this book was 1st announced I thought I wouldn't be picking it up. Wow was I wrong. Really enjoying this book. It's becoming 1 of my fav ANAD Marvel books. X 23 is such an interesting character when done right. She looks awesome in the Wolverine costume. The art on this book is fantastic. The 1st double issue pulled me in and I immediately added it to my pull list. While some of the Avengers titles have been a dissapointment, this book has been a pleasant surprise. Can't wait for issue 4.
Really surprised to read some of the criticism on here about this book. Reviews around the web have all been almost unanimously positive. I've personally loved it, justice League has been on a huge year since Forever Evil IMO, but this arc is by far the best. Everything since the dawn of the N52 seems to be weaving together in this arc. John's has a knack for big stories like this (much like Hickman, another of my fav writers). Not all questions have been answered yet, but the story is far from over. This book has been filled with awesome moments. This may be my favorite arc since the N52 started. Literally can't wait until the next issue.
