I still can't believe that characters such as the Hulk, or the Fantastic Four for that matter, have over six hundred issues of their titled comic plus a few hundred in either spin-off series or guest appearances, and still their movies don't do well. It's a shame, especially since I thought the Edward Norton Incredible Hulk film was good. Not great, but it has the best fight choreography and really shows you the godly power the hulk can have.

10. The Dark Knight Rises

9. Swamp Thing

8. Superman: Returns

7. Suicide Squad

6. Batman Returns

5. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

4. Man of Steel

3. Batman Begins

2. Watchmen

1. The Dark Knight

After looking at my list, it's kind of sad that DC films really can only get Batman right in more than one iteration.

Batman

  • Year One
  • Court of Owls

Superman

  • Superman: Lois and Clark

Flash

  • By Geoff Johns Book One
  • Vol 1 Moving Forward

Green Lantern

  • This is difficult to recommend just because there's so much mythology you should know from Johns' run. Either start where he started or you might be able to start with Green Lantern Dark Days, or the upcoming Green Lanterns

Aquaman

  • Vol 1 The Trench

Hello. So I remember a year, or two, ago DC released a thanksgiving picture of the Bat-family that held clues to what was coming in the comics. I was just wondering if all of the clues had come true/been found and what they were. Honestly, I couldn't find anything.

I'm not sure why, but ever since the start of the New 52 Green Lantern has had constant mini events, crossing over with every one of their titles. Unfortunately, I feel like the Vol 6 crossover is one of the worst. The best way to read this is probably the Green Lantern: Godhead trade. It collects the whole event from every title, but that does mean it leaves off the last 2 or 3 issues from every title found in each of their vol 6 trades.

Hello all! I recently finished reading Morrison's Multiveristy and must admit that I was very impressed. I loved the guidebook in the middle that listed what each of the 52 Earths were, but I was left with a few answers that I hope someone could help me with.

Questions:

1.) One of the continuities that I thought would be present in the Multiversity but wasn't was the massively popular Injustice storyline. At first I thought it was because it is just a video game, but at this point the comic of Injustice has been going on for five years, so I was surprised it wasn't included. Was this talked about anywhere?

2.) Morrison said that his one-shots and the guidebook was made so that other writers and artists could jump on and tell their stories of these characters, but as far as I know nothing has happened since Multiversity came out. Is there a reason to this?

3.) Other than Morrison's upcoming Multiversity Too: The Flash (whenever that will be released) do you think this is still a good idea for writers and artists to have fun with the DC multiverse?

Theories:

4.) Well it looks like they have Earths for DCs beginnings (pre-COIE) and their current universes (N52) but noticed there was nothing for post-crisis. Could Morrison have known that Rebirth was going to happen and it would start to bleed the post-crisis and N52 universes together thus leaving out an Earth for that era of DC?

5.) Earth 2 in Multiversity is all about the recent New 52 Society, but with Rebirth we know that the old Justice Society will be coming back. Would the old JSA occupy one of the unknown earths, or would they stay in the current DCU?

6.) Again, it looks like DC is bringing back their Wildstorm line, but this time they're going back to their own universe. Would they then occupy one of the unknown worlds?

7.) How did everyone else like Multiversity?

For me I'm not sure what's going on when it comes to Q1, and 2.

I do think that this is a great opportunity to have fun with the DC multiverse and I do hope other writers/artists contribute to the Multiversity as a whole. I believe that the JSA will stay on current DCU, but if not I think they'll replace the heroes of Earth 2 from a cataclysmic event. And finally I do think Wildstorm would fill in one of the seven missing earths.

@laughingbatman: I think a mixture of both. I'm sure his villain "friends" wouldn't be happy about his switch, and in the process he'd just P.O. new people who would turn into villains. It would definitely be an interesting book. If it ever had a chance at happening.

I think his tale will mostly be shared with Superman in Action Comics for no on, but with the write writer I think I could get behind a Lex Luthor book. Every great villain is the hero of his own story, and Lex Luthor is at the perfect hero phase of his life.

Well, in the announcement of Wildstorm coming back it sounds like they will be back to being their own universe.
