Great interview. I love how they actually touched upon what they're doing with trades. I figured it wouldn't be until the new year, but it's nice to get that confirmed. Very interesting that they're starting with paperbacks instead of hardcovers. I know there are lots of people who love HC but for me I'm a paperback type of guy, so hearing this is great instead of waiting half a year to get a softcover after the HC is released. However, what I'm most interested in finding out is what their spines will be like.
I loved this issue. This and Action Comics have been pulling home runs to my surprise. I feel each issue of Detective Comics gets better and better, and I'm even excited even more than I ever thought I could get.
I kind of feel bad for new comic readers. With Marvel having smash hit movies (whether you like them or not) their the company that new readers are going to gravitate towards because in theory they already know these characters, but even as a comic reader I have no idea what Marvel is doing. I understand that they're trying to bring more diversity, and make every year new, but if I miss a few months of Marvel comics I honestly wouldn't know where to begin.
Yes! I'm glad that DC is paying attention to what fans are liking. I was hoping Midnighter wouldn't get swept under the rug from Rebirth, and to have him and Apollo back? Yes.
