Looks cool. Although, I will admit that it's pretty funny that Man of Steel is the film where people complain about property damage, and Marvel comics are the ones that are focusing on that aspect in the comics.
Aquaman has been around since 1941, the fact that we're still talking about him is impressive enough. Also, he's not lame, but I'm fine being in the small minority of comic readers that think that.
I haven't read Marvel in the last few years, so I may be way off, but sometimes I feel like they got a lot of readers just based on shock value and their headlines.
MCU has peaked and these titles don't excite me at all.
If another spider-man or hulk movie come out....I'll be happy.
Now is time for DC to shine. Suicided Squad, WonderWoman, Justice League.....hell yes!
No comparisons here, and I want all comic book movies to succeed.....I just can't get excited for Marvel movies anymore. Netflix stuff tho? Bring it on!
Exactly how I feel! The Marvel films are feeling very formulaic to me at this point, and the new movies they have announced don't excite me. Who they have on those movies however have the potential to excite me. Marvel on Netflix is so far two for one. I liked the first season of DD, Jessica Jones annoyed me so much, and DD S2 was leaps and bounds better. Very excited for Luke Cage.
As for DC, I'm very afraid that their TV-verse will be going down hill. I love the Flash, but I'm starting to think that they're trying too hard to replicate the first season's reception and because of that the storytelling is suffering (i.e. S2 finale episodes, or most of that season) so if these shows continue what they're doing then Marvel's Netflix line will be taking its place for me. As for the movies I think DC has a chance to shimmy in there with how much new story aspects that they'll explore before Marvel (i.e. First woman to head her own movie, and a movie all about villains).
Sometimes I just wish the mutants existed in their own universe seperate from the rest of Marvel. At least then they won't be constantly forced to fight other teams and be made to look bad.
Exactly what I've been thinking. I mean, there's so much you can do with X-men that they could live in their own universe and still have great stories.
