Ya know he's right. We still have plenty of slasher flicks, and yes they all are just as stupid. But the current market on horror films really sucks now-a-days. It seems it's either some japanese ghost chick eating peoples souls, or 2 and a half hours of pure uncut torture. Now the main reason of this is the fact that most new young directors like there first films to be horror films, ya know try out that genre first. Well the problem with only begginers doing this sh(!)t is the fact that 10 times outta 10 it'll suck.
The only exception is John Carpenter. I don't know how he did it, but he always made the best horror movies. I mean theres not one person on earth who didn't think The THING, was the shizzy nizzy.
The first friday the 13th really was nothing but a low budget piece of sh!t. It was a crappy movie, which spawned an even crappier series. And . . . if, and may I emphasize if, they do decide to remake the first friday the 13th, Jason isn't going to be in it.
Now kiddies, gather round and tell me. After the failed abortion that was Jason X, do you really want another friday the 13th?
