Why I Love Comics
I know Moviebob, Sluglady, Film Critic Hulk, and probably tons of other people I don't know about already did it, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

Because a human can be a badass around amazons and martians.
Because a planet-eating cosmic god wears a silly pink helmet.
Because, "you're stronger than you think you are."
Because Grant Morrison is insane but brilliant.
And so is Alan Moore.
Because Squirrel Girl defeated Dr. Doom.
Because there's always something to make me laugh.
Because Cloak stutters.
Because Fullmetal Alchemist (among other manga) brought together all my friends in high school.
Because JTHM summarized how I felt in high school.
Because nothing is too silly.
Because Batman can be a Caveman, Pirate, etc.
Because they pulled it off.
Because Mike Mignola made me appreciate comic art.
Because having a dinosaur for a pet is awesome.
Because Superman, Batman, and whoever else may die will always come back.
Because of crossovers.
Because Transmetropolitan got me interested in journalism.
Because Magneto makes a pretty convincing argument.
Because a monster can be a hero.
Because mental illness doesn't stop someone from being a hero.
Because a worm can be a villain.
Because Etrigan rhymes (most of the time)
Because a tiger can talk.
Because of zombies.
Because everything winds up as a comic book eventually.
Because no one thought a demonic looking guy named Sinestro would betray them.
Because someone thought a hidden city of advanced gorillas was a good idea. And they were right.
Because you'd have an easier time solving the anti-life equation than following continuity.
Because Garth Ennis took him from his highest high to his lowest low and back again.
Because I have more faith in Superman than God.
Because these shows introduced me to the Question, made me care about Mr. Freeze, and gave us Harley Quinn.
Because I will go there eventually and it will be glorious.
Because the Earth will always be in peril.
And there will always be people to defend it.
Because one man can construct an entire universe. (I know he had a lot of help from Jack Kirby and other people, but he still made a crap-load of characters which the Marvel universe still revolves around)
Because he's still the King.
Because of infinite possibilities.
Because the world of comic books will always be bright no matter how dark the real world gets.
