Its funny how all of a sudden people can see the future. I have faith in will Smith he's a good actor but he has to keep his ego in check.

heh heh heh

This above statement is correct

I truly think that this could be a seriously amazing role for Smith, he is hurting from the past couple of box office failures (Well they still made bank, but After Earth debuted at number three in its opening weekend, which is a first I believe for a Will Smith lead film) I think that killed the ego a bit for Smith, and that is a good thing as it will force Smith to move into colder and darker territory and embody the cynicsim that is Deadshot.

Think about it guys, up until now Smith has been arguably the biggest name in any film he has been in, now in this film, this is not the case. Also this film is ensemble, Smith has never done ensemble before ie - share the spotlight. Indeed he is one of the main characters but now he will have to be on an equal standing with Tom Hardy, not to mention Jard Leto (who will be use more sparingly I believe), this is all humble pie for Smith. But all these factors show me that Smith is desperate to reclaim his blockbuster status and Im picking a very big performance from him.

Hardy will be good for Smith as his character, Rick Flagg will almost certainly clash with Deadshot. Flaggs patriotism blinds him to the truth of things a times and this will almost certainly clash with Deadshots more watchful cyncism. Flagg will most likely (by order from Waller) try and carry out some more morally dubious actions with will clash with Deadshots professional code of conduct and personal honor. Flagg wont care, ends justify the means, for Deadshot, the task must be carried out as quickly and with less collateral and moral damage as possible.

I am hyped and excited for Smith, He will knock this out of the park.

good trailer, nice, gravelly and distorted voice performance from Spader as the voice of Ultron. Which I was most eager to see above everything else in the trailer.

  • Hulkbuster armour (yeehaa)
  • Hulk smashing Hulkbuster Armour (thats even better) most likely under the influence of Scarlet Witch. (thank god she wont be going anywhere near saying "No more mutants..." in the Marvel movies)
  • Hawkeye doing nothing as usual, (He really should be exported to AOS, has no business here Bring on the fanboy hate...And for the record, I do like Hawkeye, just not on these films)
  • Black Widow just still doesn't jibe with me (no fault of Johanssen) again with Hawkeye, these battles are for super powered types only in my opinion, we need Miss/Captain Marvel sometime soon.
  • Thor swimming in water and dropping his hammer...hahaha, obviously he will be doing more in the film, hopefully starting off by wringing Starks little neck for creating Ultron.
  • Cap well, a few spots and oh the possibility of a broken shield? Color me interested peeps, and with Andy Serkis playing Ulysses Klaw it means that a new shield or a repair of a shield will be warranted and Vibranium will have to be sourced for this. Klaw has access to Vibranium which is from where? Wakanda baby, Black Panther land, and any hint to Black Panther is AWESOME
  • Also, Don Cheadle was in the trailer...Please for the love of all that is good...we get War Machine...
  • Scarlett Witch, looks like a shot of her using a hex and some slow motion crying amongst rubble, not showing much yet but it will come.
  • Quicksilver, yeah I still regard his inclusion as somewhat of a dick move by Marvel (Calm down I gotta lot of time for the house of ideas and for the most part their movies are pretty tight) as Quicksilver although associated with the Avengers has more to do with the XMEN universe really, and it is like Marvel has access to a lot of characters (Black Panther, Moon Knight, et al) but of all ones to pick, it is one that is more synomynous with the XMEN. Seriously for cryng out loud. However, who knows, this version of Quicksilver may outdo the zany version of Xmen DOFP, so again I may be happily surprised
  • A lot of topless shots of Banner, with him looking very confused and non plussed and vulnerable, lets chalk this down to Scarlett Witch and Ultron who by being created by Stark will probably have knowledge of vulnerabilities with the Avengers so that will be interesting
  • What will be Hydras status after this film, do they have a hand in poisoning Ultron? Does Ultron decide that he wants to run Hydra and takes out Strucker and gains the staff that Loki obtained in The Avengers? How does he get Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver to follow him?
  • WTF will Thanos have to do with this (If anything at all)
  • How do the Avengers come together as some are in hiding (Cap, Hawkeye, Fury and Widow), one is in England (Thor) and others mia (Banner) This is not a criticism just a question.
  • Spaders voice perfomance is totally selling Ultron at the moment and I will pay to watch this film only to hear him torment Stark especially as his unabated Ultron hatred will boil over...ohhh this film cant come soon enough
  • Where do the events in this movie leave our heroes at the end, Im thinking, the obviously win, but it will be Pyrrhic in nature, Stark will be forever maligned (kinda like Pym), even though he did not possibly mean for any of it to happen, Thor may go back to Asgard (and back to the mess there), Cap, well even he may find it hard to keep cheery about this. Nick Fury will still be Samuel L Jackson cool.
  • I'm thinking that there may be a possible superhero backlash at the end of this. At the end of the Avengers, everyone is like "Their freakin awesome" but at the end of Avengers 2 it may be more "Their freaks, get rid of them"

These are just my initial thoughts peeps...I will pay to watch this movie, probably more than twice

Torn between classic and new 52.

I concur, I like the earth 2 series but if I was being selfish about a movie series, I would be perfectly happy as long as Wildcat and Mr Terrific were in it...

There's no way this can be anything more than set up for the future Civil War, considering there are currently no heroes with secret identities in the MCU who could be affected by the Super-Human Registration Act. Also I don't know how you make Civil War work without Spidey. I'm excited for what they might have in store though.

I agree with this statement, the crux of Tony and Steve's disagreement will have to be different than the "Civil War" storyline in the comics, maybe there will be fallout from Avengers 2...Surely there has to be, they cant just disagree and begin a horrendous battle royal over what kind of cut of steak is better than others.

As for the Spider Man conundrum, maybe that will be confortably forgotten, or will Quciksilver or the Scarlett Witch fill that roll? However that may not reverberate well with audiences, or even me...

Finally I was not a big "Civil War" fan but the movies we will see...

@silverpool: My theory is that Multiplex aint dead, or even may return as part of the Suicide Squad with Deadshot and others. Surely Amanda Waller will begin to poke her nose into Flash's antics and may start "recruiting" I mean it is hard to say with the death of characters who create clones, just like Multiple Man in the Marvel Universe...

Ok this reasoning probably goes for every comic book death ever...lol

UMMMMMMMMMMM yeah, I don't mind Bendis, but I have completely avoided the current GOTG run, and as much as I would love to see the best Nova back imho, I get the dread feeling that Marvel are going to mess this up.

Question: going by the art above, where are Drax's blades, the majority of his best moments are with his BLADES...

KnifeWikipedia: A knife is a cutting tool with a cutting edge or blade, hand-held or otherwise, with or without a handle. Knife-like tools were used at least two-and-a-half million years ago, as evidenced by the Oldowan tools. Originally made of rock, bone, flint, and obsidian, knives have evolved in construction as technology has, with blades being made from bronze, copper, iron, steel, ceramics, and titanium. Many cultures have their unique version of the knife. Due to its role as humankind's first tool, certain cultures have attached spiritual and religious significance to the knife.

@darkazrael999: Hows it going mate, not too bad on my end, just (finally) managed to catch Captain America: The Winter Soldier and was quite happy with the result. Am now awaiting XMEN DOFP, though as per usual will have to manage time to watch it. But anyway what are you reading at the moment? I am starting to look at Valiant comics tbh... I'm a bit zoned out from DC and Marvel. What do you think about this title, FTW or WTF? -Rai, Valiant Comics

I am a Rugby Player, from New Zealand where Rugby is king so I will answer from a rugby perspective (Sorry lol)

  1. Rugby is really terrible at creating rules that are hard to understand from a playing perspective and don't really ensure player welfare...
  2. I played two positions in Rugby there are forwards and backs, I was blessed with some pace and strong tackling, so if I was a forward I would play as a blindside flanker (Huge defensive work rate required) and if I was a back I would be a left winger (Support runner who can operate in against a tighter defense). I preferred flanker, as a winger you get the glory scoring tries or shall I say touchdowns but I liked the more physical grind as a flanker as I would be amongst the action most of the time...
  3. Yes I would, Rugby is very physical but career ending injuries are rare and far between...

I am hoping that this movie turns out well. I am not totally sold as it is a mighty ammount of characters in one film. I think that we need to brace ourselves for very brief appearances for some characters. Especially those in the future and doubly so if Singer follows the fatalistic dofp storyline for the future characters.

At this moment the film will be mostly about x, mags, wolvie, mystique and possibly one or two others...

Hey I hope that I am wrong and that the majority if the film is a gigantic throwdown between the xmen and the sentinels...
