@dextersinister1: what do you mean he could be resisted? I recall Sylar being too strong for him to hold for longer than 2 minutes but no other form of resistance?

@mr_ingenuity: yes the nervous system also played a role in this. In heroes reborn it was explained further but due to the fact that "mutants" were copyrighted they were called "evo's". The pilot of heroes reborn spent a bit more time explaining this than the series ever did.

Well actually not any Jean, just Phoenix, it could be cyclops phoenix as well, I'm just wondering if The Haitian can stop the external force or only the mutant. For example would Wally West still run in the speed force and beat the haitian or will he not be able to access the speedforce because the Haitian cuts him off.. but I'm specifically wondering about phoenix

I feel the "movie" was sufficient for you to understand most of world war hulk, but bear in mind that it is a crossover series, so you are actually supposed to read the illuminati as well and all the others that wwh was apart of.

To give a straightforward answer, no neither reading or watching planet hulk will make you understand EVERYTHING in WWH

@mr_ingenuity: heroes was all about "evolution". Mohinder's studies were all about finding a way to control the mutations. Every episode started with "the next mutation in the evolutionary cycle". So I think it's safe to assume that it is infact how it works and he surpresses that power, thereby surpressing their gene.

My question however is if he would be able to surpress the phoenix because it's a force and not a gene

This is less of a debate than a question. So the Haitian's power is to cause the mutant to not be able to use their powers (basically making them depowered). Now the phoenix on the other hand is not a mutant power, but rather a force that uses a mutant host.

The question then, will the Haitian be able to supress the phoenix, or will he only be able to take away Jean Grey's base abilities?

@sanitrize1999: your Op is incorrect in stating that Jean is the same from the same universe in all movies. After days of futures past it became an alternate timeline in an alternate universe. Otherwise her killing Charles in the last stand won't justify him being in the Logan movie 50 years later

@lordofallhumans: she wasn't holding back against wolverine, she was dark phoenix. Dark phoenix isn't as strong as white phoenix who you speak of in apocalypse.

That said, the apocalypse Jean is irrelevant because this thread is about the Famke Jansenn version as we can see in the OP.

His TK is way beyond jean's. Not beyond White phoenix but above dark phoenix (the version he will be fighting).

Also his power of stealing powers is not all about in the brain, it's about understanding. If he understood how the power works he could duplicate it, that's what he did with the shape shifter and stealing flight from Nathan.

He has a spot he moved yes, but even if she knew where it was there is no guarantee she would be able to hit it, because it was microscopic. That said, he never said he only moved it once otherwise Matt Parkman (a telepath) would've been able to know where it was as well, Sylar was rather constantly moving it without thinking about it as if he was simply breathing (IIRC he said that to Emile Danko).

Yes she can kill Sylar but he can't die if she doesn't hit the spot, also he is immortal so that would look like the boss battle in dr strange until she dies of old age.

The people don't forget they have powers when he is about to kill them, they cannot move because he holds them down with TK. They try to use their powers, but aren't able to.
