Often times when adults give Superman stories a fair shot they will like him.

It's mostly just teens and casual superhero fans that are drawn to Batman because of the seriousness, angst or a "badass" factor, or Spider-Man cause he's a high school kid with a sense of humor.

When a comic book reader gets older and is able to get over their prejudices, they're able to see the appeal of Superman.

A hero less defined by his powers and abilities (the typical critiques detractors try to levy against him) but by his morals, upbringing, as well as his ability to be at once alien and yet decidedly American.

@amendment50: you'd be surprised about how many Americans are genuinely proud to compare themselves to Ron Swanson.

@amendment50: You know Ron Swanson is a caricature that you're not supposed to agree with, right?

I think Firestorm should be on the Justice League in place of Cyborg.

I loved the first issue of Shade, and while the second didn't quite reach the same heights for me, I'm on board.

On the other hand, I think issue 3 of Doom Patrol was the best so far, especially that one "Crisis" page.

Problem is that a mutant just died of M-Pox in Death of X.

There are many different iterations of the Question. O'Neil's did not do detective work. Rick Veidt's Question did and he has a quasi-enhanced ability to see clues in his surroundings due to a connection to mystical energy.
