lol MC with plasma sword would probably cut bane in half. MC wins with any combo of weapon and armor. Best way to even it up would be to have MC without weapons and armor and that would still be close i think, don't know enough about MC's feats without armor to make an educated guess here so leave that to the rest of you people.

Scott Snyder is such a G. Such a down to earth cool guy. Batman has been amazing (really amazing since pre 52 detective comics + gates of Gotham), knowing how scott writes very dark stories (I mean that detective comic run was so dark) I am really, really excited to see the upcoming joker run. Joker is gonna do some messed up thing, SOOOOOO EXCITED!

@IIDEADxPOOLII: I didn't say rashad would submit him, I said silva would win (probably 9/10 times), i said i wouldn't be suprise if he did (plus u telling me that there is absolutely zero chance that Anderson, the guy who got submitted by Ryo Chonan and Dajiu Takase when he was a black belt, could not feasibly in any circumstances get submitted by rashad? (a black belt himself) however unlikely it is and knowing that crazy stuff happens in mma (sera ko'ing GSP, kevin randleman ko'ing crop cop forrest griffin submitting shogun etc.). big difference bro. Second i sad i "want" the shogun fight, not that it will happen.

Silva wins in 5 round fight. More dynamic finisher in a 5 round fight is always a big plus. Big problem for rashad is he doesn't throw his hands in combination much, more of a single shot guy. And he likes to take his time in stand up and size up his opponent, bad recipe against Silva (similar to how Machida owned him in the stand-up, half the time when Rashad throws a strike he is off balance and that is terrible against a great counter striker like Machida and Silva). Rashad has good wrestling but I don't think its as good as Chael (lets remember Chael was an olympic team alternative ), and beside a few fights (rampage, phill davis) Rashad usually get his take-downs by pushing his opponent towards the cage (most of the rampage fight, bisping fight, silva fight, jones fight etc.) and working form there and isn't really a power double guy (again with a few exceptions in few fights). More importantly at this point in time the best chance to beat silva is a good grappler with submission skills and good explosive take-downs.

Rashad is the best fight to make right now, good fighter with good name who will give anderson a good fight (if Rashad takes him down and submits him it wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world) I would also like to see Shogun vs. Anderson, but shogun might get hurt really bad in that fight.

It was alright, I enjoyed superman earth one better. the worst thing about both books is that it is just too short, but reading the Superman book it felt more self contained and more of a "complete" story, with this one and how it ends I am more excited about vol.2 and felt underwhelmed by vol.1. Don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing.

I am positively down with Uncanny Avengers and Avengers. Both creative teams are awesome. I just hope they don't reboot and forget the last few years of the x-books, I need some sort of continuity there to keep reading them (I want something like GL or Batman with new 52)

well mb after all these crap marvel "events" the last few years, something like a reboot might be useful to fix up some of the mess. I'm happy that jean is coming back, but like a lot of you have said I hope she keeps her history; it would be pretty useless if it was just a reboot and completely disregarded what has happened to the x-men the last 8 years.Really what I wanted out of Jean's rebirth was her reaction to what Cyclops has become and in general the state of mutant society.

So yah hopefully the x-books get the Batman/Green Lantern treatment in the new 52, keeping most of the stuff that has been happening last few years. While I havn't been a big fan of some of the X-books last couple of years, I really appreciated the fact that the story and the characters had progressed so much.

I was skeptical about new 52 and it turned out to be pretty great for the most part, but I'm way more worried about Marvel doing something like that for some reason.

this is why some VS. Battles are so darn stupid. Using a movie such hancock as a reference point for battle thread its just stupid. It's basing logic on a dumb Hollywood movie and trying to come up with in depth facts, reasoning and logic based on at best a B level summer blockbuster which is grounded in a reality and a universe that is never truly explained.. Atleast the Avangers and the marvel movies are based on comic books lore, going back 60-70 years of creative writing and thinking on how this universe works and how the different characters stack up against each other.

Sure the feats shown in the movie make hancock to be a beast, but there is no relativity to it. We don't know how the charecter reacts to magic (for all we know a strike from miljoner rips him in half), his power level is not really known (sure he stopped a train, but we don't know how heavy it was. Plus you can't comparing stopping a train to one punching an alien whale, its retarded. Who knows what properties that alien whale had, it might be hell of dense and for all we know its could be one of the most durable things in that universe.) Furthermore there is no gaurantes that Tony can't come up with some sort of beam to disrupt his power, aka mimicking the power of his wife etc. I think Avengers win, but wuteve if you think hancock wins good for you I guess. I'm not gonna waste my time debating something like this in depth when the source material is the movie Hancock.

This thread is just duuuuuuuuuuuuuumb........ we are all losers here.
