When even Superman (whom Batman has defeated before) has described Batman as "the most dangerous man in the world", it is hard not to give him his props. He's a supergenius ninja master basically with a limitless budget and given any time beforehand or if he can even see any unexpected environmental factor that he can use to his advantage he is guaranteed a win no matter how fearsome or formidable his prospective foe may be. He is basically the pinnacle of human achievment in a fantasy world of godlike beings and still running strong. Conversly if someone like the Flash were to just run by at top speed and stab a flaming chainsaw through him out of the blue, unexpectedly and for no reason at all as he was walking down the street, well sure that would be it. Same if let's say Superman were to be stewing over his loss to Batman, has a psychotic episode and throws the Moon at him one day in a sudden act of vengeance. Batman dead. Luckily that hasnt happened, as anyone that would seek to take him out just isnt smart enough to leave nothing to chance and never let him know that they are coming for him. Pax Batman.
