@sirfizzwhizz: Well, it's been several years since I've played RE:5, so you got me there, lol. My only beef with Wesker's strength is his inconsistency with Chris Redfield---because at Veronica's climax, they had a brief match of fisticuffs, and he punches Redfield a few times, but Chris only grunts in pain for a bit, but doesn't have his internal organs turn to mush or explode. Whereas in RE:5, he had more feats of that.
In terms of debating in your own thread... I was guilty of doing that when I first started CV a few years ago (been here awhile, but just don't post much). Mods didn't say anything, until a user told me I couldn't do that, lol.
Except there is nothing different. Stated or shown. He was blur blitzing in Veronica, tanking multiple ton blows to the head, and punch holes in concrete docks, and lifting multiple tons in Veronica. I dont see why RE5 is stronger when he stated the same and his feats are roughly the same.
That is maybe you judging graphics to hard more than anything.
She also destroyed Jill and Chris with the tentacles until Steve saved them. In both the Veronica Game and Chronicles game. She also had better raw durability in third form than simply regen. Plasma weapons would work, rocket may stun her, but thats it. Machine guns are a distraction at best. Im just saying, you consider her low street tier lol. Really?
How is there nothing stated or shown? Wesker transformed into a B.O.W towards RE:5's climax, and that' concrete evidence of him genetically tampering with himself right there. No where in the lore does it state that Wesker genetically tampers with himself, the game just shows him. And it's not graphics, Wesker's teleporting speeds versus him having after-images in RE: Veronica is a stark contrast. In terms of strength, feats are roughly the same, but speed-wise, I disagree. Old games back in 2000 had great graphics and could show teleporting speeds just fine, Shenmue (1999) for the Dreamcast showed characters that had fast movements that were borderline FTE with fantastic effects without using after-images.
And how did you interpret that I considered her low-tier street level from my post?? I only stated what she actually does in the canon (in Veronica), which is true. I agree that the SMGs wouldn't do jack sh*t, but the launchers and plasmas are MVPs here. MC has a multitude of enemies with tons of experience. So, no, I don't consider her street-tier, but a tier within Chief's capabilities.
Do you intend to debate in the threads you create? Because I see you do that a lot. I have a feeling that you subtlety want Alexia to win.
@sirfizzwhizz: I actually think Veronica-era Wesker and RE:5 Wesker are entirely different (in terms of power). He looks waaaay stronger and powerful in RE:5. He may have performed some genetic-engineering on himself between the time-frame of Veronica and RE:5. Considering that Chris at the end was able to tank some of his punches and was still standing at Veronica's end; whereas in RE:5 he can sometimes punch through a person's chest, or in some cases, send grown men flying (and most importantly, why he can transform in RE:5's climax).
Going back and looking at RE: Veronica, the only thing Alexia has going for her are speed (which is not massively FTE, considering that Chris can still see her), fire manipulation, and regen (I don't think she can regen if her entire body is blown into giblets). In character, Alexia is pompous and underestimates her opponents; she moves slow as f*ck and expects to tank anything. That's where her downfall is, IMHO, Chief is going to disintegrate her with his weapons. He has the speed, strength, and intelligence to do this.
Master Chief should win; If plasma and energy weapons from Halo were used against them, I don't see why they wouldn't turn Alexia into mincemeat. The linear launcher (used against Alexia) fires some sort of super-heated plasma, nothing unlike Halo---so, the plasma grenades should do some ungodly damage against her in addition to the rockets. So, if human Chris stands a chance against her, then I don't see why Master Chief shouldn't either.
Additionally, her fire attacks don't seem to do a whole lot of damage considering Chris was able to shrug them off (furniture it struck was also in-tact); so, a bit of fire manipulation isn't enough to beat Chief. She's fast, but, Chris was able to react to her.
In all all, if the Chief packed a bit more firepower (other than the weapons SirFizzWhizz has listed), then he should wreck. But for now, Chief wins 8/10.
